Thought this would have helped me quit but I have gotten tired of my mom ragging about the smell of the liquid whatever (she complains about the smell of everything except our dog) so I am just going back to smoking. Hadn't fully quit smoking but she said she wants it out of the house so I will comply. Not what I want to do but being an adult living with my parents it's their house their rules. Going to try to sell my ProVari locally and hopefully get some money back from it. It is a shame but whatever, she'd rather I use chantix or gum/patch. Good luck with the fight against the FDA.

Well good luck with quitting. Personally if it were me though I would keep my equipment for a while. If you want to quit using something else I can understand that but if you keep your equipment you can still have a vape if the mood strikes.

I quit smoking once a long time ago & stayed quit for over 2 years. But then I had a cigarette with a friend & then I had another for some other reason...and the next thing I knew I was smoking again. If I'd had vape equipment during that time (it was before vaping was an option) I'm sure it would have satisfied my cigarette cravings enough that I would not have fully started up again. Just my .2

If quitting is what you want, chantix does work well. My uncle quiet on it and my grand parents did as well. They smoked for a LONG LONG time and havnt had a cig since they used chantix.

Not to discredit their quit (have a friend who quit with it too) and i guess whatever works, but i wouldn't recommend Chantix to my worst enemy after seeing the number of people who either killed themselves (500+) or tried to kill themselves (1600+) in 2013 alone, while taking it.

It definitely messes with you, even my friend said it made you feel VERY weird.

There's a million ways to vape and not offend people, not even the ones you live with. You got some great suggestions right here. Really, don't go back to cigarettes! And I seriously would never consider Chantix! I realize your under someone else's roof, but you should never jeopardize your health for anyone. Pleas reconsider before you sell that Provari. There's always a way.

I don't know how old you are, but if you are over 18 you can just move out. When I was young my mom would nag at just about everything I did. Although smoking was probably the thing she nagged most about. I got tired of it and just moved. All of a sudden I could do whatever I wanted whenever I wanted.

The downside was that I moved in with my girlfriend. It turned out to be a nightmare, but that's another story. But at least I could smoke whenever I wanted, turn my stereo up as loud as I wanted and a whole plethora of other things that our parents would not approve of!!!

I had terrible panic attacks on Chantix. Not to say that it'll have a negative effect on everyone, just that I really do believe vaping carries less risk on the whole. You don't need to disrespect her household rules. Go outside and vape, just as you would with a cigarette. Save your money, then move.

Nah just wanted to let some frustration out. Going to give the cold turkey a go and then look at other options if that fails.

The first time I quit I did so cold turkey (when I was 18 years old). It worked, after 3 days I was okay. However, it took me months to stop wanting to smoke in the car. :p Stayed off the cigs 2 years.

Whatever works for you. I'd keep the vaping gear for awhile as back up. Once you quit and are confident that you won't go back to smoking, then go ahead and sell it.

I vape in the house with my wife and son both living here...and not one can smell the vape.

I vape Unflavored and my homebrewed menthol (from crystals) exclusively and neither leave any trace of odor in the house.

Where there's a will, there's a way!

Man up and Vape on! (even if you have to do it outside until things change!)
