Hey guys, I've been vaping for three weeks now and many of the problems that plagued me in the first couple weeks are finally starting to resolve. I want to share some information in hope that if anyone else has the same problems that I had, they can check this thread and save some time, money, and ejuice!

For reference I started vaping with a Joye EGO-T with Boge LR cartomizers and smoketech tanks.

I have been vaping mostly dark, creamy flavors that are predominantly VG in a cartomizer tank. After maybe 10 or so draws on a newly filled carto, I would start to get a dry and burnt taste coming from them. Well a few things I learned:

1) make sure you properly fill your cartos! I thought I was filling them correctly, but after some research I found better methods to make sure they are nice and moist. What worked for me was using the condom fill method in combination with the taryn spin when the juice was unusually thick.

These videos are great and will show you exactly what you need to do.

2) two holes are better than one! A lot of the dry hits and burnt taste were coming from bad wicking in the cartomizer. After two weeks, I finally started adding another hole to the pre-punched cartomizers and they work 10 times better than before. No dry hits, more flavor, more vapor, and no burnt taste!

These two things alone solved most of my vaping problems. Other suggestions (which I haven't tried out yet) are slotting cartos, diluting thick ejuice with distilled water, diluting with vodka, and I'm sure there are more but I can't recall them right now.

Please feel free to add any helpful tips that you have tried that have made your vaping experience better.

If it's flavorless, add some PG in the solution.

PG distributes the flavor, since VG doesn't hold that much flavor.

Also dry vape can mean too little or too much PG.

Some DIYers have too much PG like myself, sometimes they add around 40% - 50% PG, which cause the ejuice solution to burn slowly, giving a dry vape without much vapor.
