Yeah, no need to make a cheaper GG....do you have any problem selling the ones you make now? ....i dont think so...so why change? Plus if you made a cheaper one and some one had a bad experience with it...they would not be looking at a more expensive model from you to replace it!

I agree... GG is high quality...Now if you went with 6061 aluminum for the body then okay because its still a very good aluminum and it will help to keep the cost down a little bit. But keep the inside parts the same. On and button quality the same..... i love that button :):)

i think that is a great idea, keep the same design, but offer lower grades of metal! although this may make the models bigger? which would cause problems with updates and upgrades.

woops I may have said that wrong... I meant to say that the working inside parts keep at the same high quality standard. But the outer shell and caps can be at 6061 aluminum because its still a very strong and long lasting aluminum. And it help keep the cost down a little.

But for his flag ship GG's well that has to be the best of the best....:)

Yeah....My opinion I wouldnt even change the type of aluminum.....I feel like the GG is of high quality and it should be the best of the best....I understand there isnt much difference between the 6061 and the current aluminum...but I just feel like GG is high end and a great product and it should be the best aluminum you can get.

also very true...i guess we are just saying...if it is possible to make a cheaper GG without hindering its build quality and design, it would be good...kinda. Because, it could benefit people who either cant afford a current GG or those who are skeptics and won't buy a current GG at list price (i feel sorry for those people:p).

Now that being said...at the same time i think i agree more with Hefner, because the GG reputation is what i value most!...and i would not wan't to see it get scared over a cheaper model...reputation is also very improtant, especially when selling online, because someone can't walk into a shop and pick one up and play with it a bit...so we rely on what other people tell us....so really it is up to Imeo, and i dont think he want's to take and axe to his very high reputation :D

There are always ways to bring the price down :)
I would have loved a GGTS, but I simply could not afford it. I ended up with an SB which is also a precision vaping machine, and very pretty too, but costs half the price.
Let's face it, I never got into vaping to be an elitist. If I had, i'd be commissioning a titanium mod lol
Let's let everyone sample the delights of the GG. That's my opinion.

But I will say that even Porsche has high end and low end (still high quality) cars. 6061 aircraft aluminum is no joke... but for the grant its the perfect style. Its the mid rang GG... the step before the GGTS... :)

grimmer,
I hear ya.....and I would be fine with that. But I still prefer nothing but the best....and I would even pay a lil more if I had to....thats just my .2 cents. I could understand MAYBE making the grant or something like that in the entry level position 6061 aluminum...but even that I have a tough time with...LOL...

PlanetScribbles,
I understand the other side of it too...not being able to afford a GG....but if you can afford a $100 silver bullet you can save a lil more for a GG...thats just my opinion. The GGTS is just an amazing device that gives ya the ability to use any battery combo in one device...not to mention its top notch material..and someones (Imeo) blood, sweat and tears went into making it. Its worth every penny...and I would pay MORE if need be....

:lol::lol::lol::lol: I about hit the floor with that one...

Well, chin implants are expensive!:D

But grimmer, would you really want a cheaper grade of metal to be used in the GG? What makes the GG A GG is its A1 materials, craftsmanship and design. I understand the problems about price but look at what car companies do to make a car cheaper, they substitute plastic screws or clips for metal ones and things like that.

What would you rather have in your finely tuned machine, cheap plastic or metal?

Wait col... I didnt say make the entire GG grant cheap8-o8-o I said just the outer shell be 6061 aircraft aluminum to lower cost a little... that is a very strong aluminum... the GGT I had never got a dent in the 6 months of use. I dont have it now because I gave it to a dear friend of mine.

But keep the GGTS with higher grade....

Oh I know that's not what you ment grimmer, but you also need to remember the Imeo is the creator, he is the artist, he has to be able to be satisfied that his creation is up to "HIS" standards. He has to be able to look at his work and know that when his art gets into peoples homes, they will smile and appreciate it for what he has intended it to be, look like and perform like.
