Guys, the telescope tube is already thin. I cant make it thinner because I dont like to work on limits. It will be bad for the GG and if a GG breaks then thinner telescope will be useless. So the internal diameter stays the same. We cant follow all the time those battery manufacturers. Also we have many 18650 that fits there, no reason to make GG fatter just for some manufacturers. I know a 18650 that is 19mm. That means that I have to make GG 1mm bigger. I dont want to do that its without a serious reason.

GG has a perfect thickness now, we dont want a thicker one. Agree?

Unless there is some *really* compelling reason, I would leave the diameter alone.
Even if the 3000mAh 18650s might not fit, so what? The 2600mAhs fit very easily (I'm speaking for my GGT, making assumptions based on Imeo and others comments the inside diameter of the GGTS is the same), so all good.

If some truly "special" battery came out, like a 5000mAh or pair of 2000mAh protected RCR123a replacements or similar..then, I'd consider it, but really, I'm not seeing a problem with the batteries available today..

    Imeo,
I agree! I would leave it as is...There is def. some 18650s that work....The ultra 2400mah def. works. And I think the 2600mah works also....And like you said, is it worth all the trouble just to get the 3000mah one in? I mean the 2400 and 2600mahs last all day to begin with ya know? So, I think you should leave the GGTS as is! It is perfect! =)
