might also be appropriate to point out that persons' fairness, objectivity and concern for the safety and well being of other people, especially newcomers. for no other compensation than helping others.

anyone who's been here long enough to witness the conflict unfold between these two gentleman also witnessed your hand in it too.
you've always been there, along with others, behind the scenes. stirring it up at every opportunity, then running back to the cave to giggle and wait for daddy's hand to pat you on the head. the threads are all still there if anyone cares to do a little entertaining research.

i think it's great that you would go to such lengths to "promote", in a backhanded way, your favorite product. it shows great loyalty. as far as sales go, i wonder if people are so willing to hand over their money to someone who supports or even takes part in such practices to disparage and/or demean someone else who may or may not be a future competitor?

on a personal note, the "very active member" " doing all the "welcome to the forum" cr4p" has earned more respect and admiration for being a decent, caring human being than you will ever know.

Imeo's mod is an innovation that builds upon the SD concept. Yes, Trog is the original modder who had the original concept of a bigger, more reliable battery and calling the atomizers disposable. I give him full credit for that. He was pioneer at that time. He did a great job building the SD, and no one is saying he didn't.

The GG is made so ALL parts are user-replaceable (no solering involved, all threaded parts). The SD is not. This is an innovation. To fix whatever goes wrong with the SD, one must wait while the whole thing gets shipped back to UK, waits for one of the Trog family to fix it, then gets shipped back - this could take weeks. With the GG concept, one must only email Imeo - he ships out the part in a day or two, and the user replaces the part in ten minutes or less. Imagine the difference between sending your entire car in to the manufacturer for repairs and simply driving to the parts store and fixing it yourself. That is a huge difference in the amount of time with the inconvenience of roughing it with another device.

Imeo is willing to make adapters for several types of atomizers - again replaceable by the user. It took a long time and a LOT of user requests for the SD to get a penstyle adaptor. If a new device comes along with a fantastic atomizer, one only needs to send Imeo the battery or battery fitting, and he will send them an adaptor that they can install and use with the new device. To get that same adaptor for the SD might take a few years and a few thousand requests.

I am not flaming Trog or his SD here, just making a comparison to illustrate where the innovation is.

The GG gives the user battery options as well - run on 3.7v with a 14500 battery, or run on 6v with 2xCR2 batteries.

This does not negate Trog's contribution or diminish it in any way. It builds upon a good concept with another good concept or two.

Imeo has refrained from saying anything negative about Trog since that outside thread was closed. Why does our exuberance over another mod bother you so? We are not stupid. We know that the original battery pack mod was the SD. That does not mean that no one can improve upon that.

no , that would be the Electronic cigarette. what I am comparing here is an e-cig using standard atomoizers and bigger 'off-the shelf' batteries concept, not the device.

and Nico , thank you for a great response and i do see it's possibly an improvement and where those improvements are. I have never argued that it's not a great bit of kit and a nice job. It's the original idea that was already there that Imeo is taking credit for. Without the Screwdriver he would never have thought of ever making the GG im sure, or maddog and his magnum or rob and his pipe or any off the other Standard battery box mods for that matter.

It isn't just the screwdriver banner that causes a defensive reaction when you post. It is what you post and where you post it. Ever since the great OUTSIDE, you have been following Imeo and his posts, posting things that try to question his integrity, his motives, his skills, and his character. You have been a 'doubting thomas' at best - but a vocal one. You take potshots at the very same individuals that Trog has troubles dealing with, even though they are not active in this thread. You take excerpts from these threads here and paste them into Trog's forum to laugh at all of us and how gullible we all are. lol , this forum was and still is the best source and most used e-cig forum on the internet. If there was a bigger battery , standard atomizer mod available , it would have been here. you have yet to cut your teeth on this forum so I understand you may think your the pioneer here.

The question was not to compare the mods. All we know what is going on. My intension was to see if you are a honest man. You gave a very clever answer, I must say that. You will see the compare by others who have SD and GG to their homes

Well guys, I wanted to post some tests about the mod but I was busy with ...........other things.

The last tests show me that GG works best with 2xcr2 batteries. But it works well with only 1 cr2 3v!!!.

I want to test it with 2xcr123A and with 2xcr2 3,6v=7,2v. I believe that the smoke will be better (if the atomizer will not be burned). Today the post office informed me that something came from China. I have order many things from DX but I believe that they are the batteries.

I will post the final tests tomorow.

I must mention that:

I have found a very nice and expensive led with an real-real beautiful case, but the led if it goes in line with the atomizer, takes all the volts, so it must be in paralel. If it goes paralel I will need a wire to connect it. But I said no wires, so: Maybe the led (it was the first surprise) will not be on his position. I will try to think of something but its very dificult

Imeo , honestly good luck with your GG . I was an engineer for 12 years and in my proffesional opinion it's a nice looking bit of kit and I'm sure it will be succesful for you.
Who knows , I'm not ruling out buying one in the future ( if that choice is available to me). Just for perspective here, when trog first introduced the Screwdriver here on the forum , I was one of his biggest sceptics knowing how it was made also made me question it's value , read some of the early screwdriver reviews and threads and you'll see , I was once Trogs and the screwdrivers biggest doubter.

You make completely inaccurate (or at least misleading) claims such as the "immortality" of your device (batteries die, atomizers die, switches fail - yes a metal tube is immortal), your credit as the "inventor" (this mod has been done innumerable times), the self-serviceability of the G.G. (is ANY soldering required?), and about the superiority of the G.G. to any mod.

All of them. I believe that some people write posts without reading
the previous. Ok lets start:

1) My posts are my posts and I dont give a dam where they are
posted, because I want a issue to completed. The matter is not the
number of posts but what are writing
2)I wrote before but you did not read it. I have enough money to
live well, me and my family. If trog had not annoy me and my
friend,
I would sit on my desk, smoking my SD. The GG is a result of this.
3) imortality is not the case. The case is more powerful than all
the others of course but its not that. It is:
a) the battery connector. Its not an atomizer witch has his threads
out and wired and rebuild. You will understand when you see the
video. I made things from scratch but much better than Chinese. The
connector is one thing with a hole inside and a threaded cylinder
inside, not little pieces with plastics and pushed the one inside
the other.
b) The case as we said before
c) the button would be imortal but it was heavy enough (I will show
it to the video to see what I made), so I put a very good button,
but the way I build it, its so easy to replace it (for 2 euros), so
it is imortal in a way. As for batteries, maybe you are the only
one here who believed that by the word "imortal" I meand the
batteries!!!
d) As I had post 1 day ago, the imortality is for things I made and
not for chinese things, but I said if you had read that maybe I
will make an imortal atomizer.
So I am not inaccurate at all.

As for the self-serviceability of the G.G it exists. What do you
ask? We have said it a million times. No soldering, no wires, no
glue, nothing at all.
Superiority is unanswerably. I have said so many things about this

The fight is not among ourselves but to make e-smoking a large scale hobby replacement whatever you want to call it to damaging cigarettes. I have a SD and I like some points of what he is making at the end some people will like durability some people will like the SD for its futuristic design. Some people will like the GG for its work horse possibilities. At the end what we have is more options of better products and more refined replacements for the bigger picture to enjoy smoking without damaging ourselves and others. Focus on the bigger picture please.
