OK, I'm going to take a guess on something here. I just looked at the pix of Imeo holding the GG. With the way he is holding it, yes, it makes sense to have the switch at the bottom.
I think what's happening is that we are all used to the top of our hand being at the top of the battery, so that makes sense to put the switch there. But I just tried holding my pen at the bottom (as in Imeo's pic) and it did feel awkward mainly because the pen is long and thin and holding it at the bottom just feels very "imbalanced".
But, it looks like Imeo is saying with the size and shape of his, the hand at the bottom is more comfortable....and the weight is more evenly distributed that way. So maybe we have to try to look at it from that angle.
Trust me, I am curious about this too because the main problem for me with the SD was the placement of the switch. I just couldn't seem to get an even pressure with it so it just wasn't working for me. So I don't want to make the same mistake twice.
Someone needs something about that same size, with a similar weight distribution, to test and see how holding it near the bottom like that feels. Because not for nothing but "guy hands" might not have a problem holding it that way but I'd like to be sure it's geared for the "girlie hands" too
And no offense, but as I learned with the SD, just because Imeo likes holding it that way doesn't mean it will be comfortable for me. So it would be nice if someone could test something similar beforehand to get "the feel" of it with the switch in that position.
Otherwise, I guess we just take Imeo's word that with the size, shape and weight of the GG, the switch is in the most comfortable spot.
Or, he could always have his wife hold it and see if that's how she would put her hands
