No Suzi, neither the case, nor stand should have been mentioned, as Mamu said, we should take that to another thread.

The button has to be replaced.

I think the idea of sending back a GG if the owner wants the new button is fair.

I think Imeo should stand the cost of the button.

But, as with most warrantees, the sender should accept the postal charges.

But thats just my opinion on this...

no...Suzi, not instead of ...that has to be done.

I mean when placing it down. I hate putting my e-cigs down flat.

So no, sorry it was off topic a bit...

The button has to be replaced, the stand is for later...

A GG case INSTEAD of fixing the button? I don't like that one.

Yes, I agree, the button must be fixed, that is a priority,
the GG must be made safe for the users,
and existing GG paid up owners must be serviced first
before new ones, who have not paid yet.

Well, here's what *I* think. I'm just being honest, Imeo.

I think that the current GGs should be updated so that it will not fire if touching metal and should have a protected button (still not sure if these are one or two issues). I don't think us current owners should bear the cost of fixing the problem since we didn't know it existed - although I, myself, wouldn't mind paying a very small service fee and cost of shipping it to you. I don't think a 'shortcut' fix should be considered at all - it should be brought up to par with any future GGs going out.

I think it will cause ill will if it isn't done and will only fuel your competitors - who are watching as I type.

I'm thinkin' I'm not the only one that feels this way - but the only one that's speaking up at the moment.

(I gotta go home now - still at work.) :)

Thanks, di. I thought I might be the only one speaking out.

Imeo, I love ya to death, my man. But it's only right to fix what's out there before going forward. And if someone doesn't want to return it for a fix for whatever reason then it's on them.

=====================================

you are not the only one speaking up suz,
just I think you are a bit more forthright than most of us---
I try to go a bit slower, ------ but I do agree with you love ---

I agree, with this post, and this opinion
and I agree that I would be willing to pay
for the shipping back to greece
to get the fix done and GG brought up to par
with the latest GGs going out.

Bristow, Ok.
Can the buttons just be sent out to us to put on ourself. This would save you so much time. I think most everyone could do this by there self. If you get flooded with older models to update it will take forever to get them done. I would like to get a new button but I am not in a great rush. I don't mind a reasonable wait.

May I think out loud?

Imeo has already told us that the buyers of the Transformer have to pay an extra £5 to cover the cost of a locking button.

Would it not be fair, to those with older GG's to charge them that same £5 to have a lockable button fitted, even though this is a different button?

My line of thought is that the Trans owners will be paying £5 and those made from now on will have the new button, so that £5 would have to be charged to anyone wanting that button anyway..

Does that make any sense at all?
