There both fantastic but I already invested 175 USD just for the GGT. I would love to get the 4 - 1 cap and new front cap for my GGT. I dont want to spend another 100 USD for another GG just to get those 2 caps. I think 20 - 30 euros for each is a good cost for each cap......total 40 - 60 euros for the two caps together that will fit my GGT will be well worth it. But it sounds like Imeo is not going to do that..... I wish he would.

+1 Grimmer

I refer you both to my earlier question on the USB issue and Imeo's earlier answer - requoted below.

But they can't have USB on the trans, is this right?

yes, they cant

but maybe from tomorow they will be able to do it:D:D:D

However, I am not sure you would be able to have the 3-in-1 cap on the trans at all because he said the new one had to be 9mm longer to accomodate it.

I'm with you Grimmer. I have only had my GGT for a month and a day and paid a grip for it. Then I bought the prototype AFS which I got to use for 2 1/2 days before the atty popped. I recently ordered the cartomizer cap modification and more AFS attys plus an Imeo atty. I cannot now afford to invest in a new GGS or GGTS just to get the 4 in one cap or usb options. I think both of the new devices are absolutely awesome but dang they are expensive. It would be great if Imeo took pity on those of us with limited cashflow to at least make the 4 in 1 cap compatible with the GGT. He's Imeo, the GG builder, so I know that he can do anything and everything GG! :)

Just my .02.

well add a tinny tube to accommodate what ever it needs or build into the cap itself to give the length needed. Anything and everything can be possible with the right tools and the circumstances to make it happen. even a bowing 247 can be shoved up an ants .... if the right tools are at hand...ever heard of a metal grinder? lol sorry just couldn't help myself. That 1-4 cap and the new front style cap without the spring is just to sweet to let go unnoticed. But who knows.... Ive seen pigs fly.... right onto my grill..... mmmm so tasty.....

I am sure he will take everyone's views into account before releasing his new product. I think the GGS idea was too similar to the trans to make sense releasing as the new product alongside the trans - which was one reason why I said to go with the TS - so at least anyone who buys it, will be getting all the new features as well as the revolutionary telescopic feature.
And those of us that already had the trans, were happy with it when we bought it and had no idea that Imeo was inventing all this new stuff.

It's a bit like when Microsoft bring out a new operating system. It will kinda work with the equipment you have, but it may need a few hacks and some drivers will never be upgraded for the new OS and the system will never perform as well as it would on equipment that was designed for it. That's life really.

So yeah, I am sure he could work out how to incorporate the new caps into the older model - but maybe there would be the problem of some of them not fitting every single model, like he has already said about the cartomiser cap replacements............ I am guessing you'd be pretty p**ssed if you purchased replacement caps that didn't fit your particular trans, right?

If we want the Imeo innovations to continue, we have to realise that there will always be something new coming along that may or may not be available for our current model.

as long its threaded right and all GGT's should have the same threading there shouldnt be to much of a difference if any. maybe a hairs thick of a gap but not much more that. Just like car parts as long as it was design for that car it should work. granted not all will fit perfectly but it will still do the job and still look good at the same time. :)

I agree, this is what one would assume, however the trouble is, as they aren't machine made, I don't think all GGTs were created equally - this is why one or two people may have had slight problems with replacement caps fitting (or not fitting) properly - and also the reason why Imeo always used to ask people to order the colour caps they wanted at the same time of the original order - so that he could get the best fit because this could not be guaranteed if they ordered a new set at a later date.

I am also assuming that the trans spec has changed slightly since I ordered mine (we already know that the current trans are made out of a different material).

My AFS is a fractionally different diameter to my trans for example - and I understood that they would be the same.
Handmade products - that's what we're dealing with. :)

lol Forgot to say I would vote on the TS.I probably wont be buying one but I like the way it works,I`m fine with the trans :thumb: just looking for all other options that might work with it is all.
It would be nice if the thread pattern was the same on them all though,it looks like that internal spring end might work on the trans.

yep it should and from what Imeo say he as the the tubes made by the machinist and he makes the caps and buttons and the tiny stuff himself.... but the threading on tubes and caps threads are machined done. again the button and all the tiny integrated stuff is hand done...

He had no choice but to machine the tubes and threads because to help increase his productivity to help push these things out faster. but im still amazed at how fast he has been doing these because putting each button and brass pieces together then putting together the caps and button takes some time to do. but if he had to do everything by hand it he would still be working on the previous production line and not even having the chance to come up with these new things.
