I have a nickel ggtb and the finish started to come off almost immediately. It is not tarnished, the nickel playing is simply gone every where my fingers held it. IMHO, this is completely unacceptable at a price of over $70. I cant comment on any other gg product, as this convinced me to look elsewhere for my next mod. I agree with mwa, way too many frequent updates on the ggts (some are expected and normal).

I want a device that delivers a consistent vape every time and one that utilizes every atty/carto I throw at it so I got a Darwin and couldn't be happier! Tv remote? Not sure what kind of remote some if you have but mine Is much larger than my Darwin :)

I have 2 GGTB'S and 4 GGTS'S, 5 tanks, 2 being UFS, all look and perform great. If you haven't used a UFS, you are definately missing out, solid and smooth, with good looks to boot. I have owned over 20 plus mods in my 2+ yrs. of vaping and the GG beats everything I have owned hands down. Too many updates, not enough for me, to hard to maintain, I don't think so. For me the GG is the best, my choice I'm always looking for the next best thing.

Hey Krisb, there was a post about this on the GG sub forum. A small subset of the nickel plated GGTBs had this issue, all you should need to do is contact the vendor for a replacement.

There is not mod on earth (that I know of) that has had 0 manufacturing defects, the important thing is that you have a lifetime warranty on any GG you purchase (first, or second hand). Not many mods can promise you that:)

I bought a V1 GGTS awhile back (second hand). I ended up buying the magnetic button update for $17 bucks from CoV. Well, the magnets didn't fit. Bruce sent me out a brand new GGTS button ($30) of my choosing free of charge. Some people may complain about the cost of the GGs, but not many people factor in the vendor's cost on these lifetime warranties...

Regarding updates, I honestly can't believe people complain about product updates. It boggles my mind that people can't appreciate a vendor innovating and making their products so modular that you can (99% of the time) just purchase the upgrade for your device - instead of a whole new device!

Example: I bought my VERSION 1 GGTS which dates back to early last year. I bought a UFS a month or two ago, guess what? It fits and works great!

Damn upgrades!:)

The GGs by themselves do not justify their price. It is the AFS and the UFS that make them godly. Kinda like buying a 6 banger firebird and saying all birds suck, or a v6 camaro and trying to make assumpions about the entire line. Many of us bought GGs for the tank systems used with attys. Nothing made compares to a GGTS + UFS. No carto or tank system on the planet can do what it does.

1 thousand dollars worth of mods shelved... for what?

For this.

There are reasons, once you actually try many of the best mods out there, that certain one's stand out. The perspective you have vaping a $100 mod is totally different then when you vape a $200 one. How can you let a Provari and Darwin sit on a shelf gathering dust? Buy a complete GG mod, not just half of one.
