I've been using the 18650 and a 510 atomizer(my preference) since I purchased my GGTS. It has been working great until the last few days. I can't pinpoint what is wrong. I do have the leaking issue which I am waiting for Rob to get his supply in but I don't think is the problem. I checked the batteries on the multimeter and they are fine. Took them out and used them on my prodigy with no problem along with the atomizer no problem. I just put in a 14500 with 2 spacers and all is working well. So why won't the 18650 work anymore? Is it the cap on the bottom or the spring? Please help.

tparganos,
Ive seen where the bottom of the battery scratches to the point it isnt making a good contact point. I also clean the contact point on the switch that hits the middle post...sand it up a little and a very very small pin dot of Noalox on the contact point of switch. I think these things help.

But also, how old is your 18650? Time to time a BAD battery will still read the right voltage but just isnt putting out anymore. Maybe try another 18650? Sometimes you gotta try a few things to pin point the problem. I would start with trying another new 18650 ...if that works fine..Then its your battery. If it doesnt work well, move onto cleaning the contact point on switch. Make sure contact point on positive side of battery is nice and clean too.

I have quite a few batteries and the same result. I use them in the prodigy and all works well. I just sanded both ends and seems to be working now. I also think I was turning them too tight.

Good. Yeah, I try to do it at least one time a week or one time every two weeks. I do a quick sand of both contact points. The positive side witch is attached to the atomizer cap and touches the positive side of the battery. Then I sand the contact point on the switch that hits the middle post. Ive seen where the voltage drops down to almost nothing if ya dont keep these clean. Should be part of your weekly "maintenance" or bi-weekly.

And the 2nd part ya said about tightening too much...yeah..from what I hear that can also cause some problems...as Imeo has said..Nothing on the GGTS should be tightened too much.

Hope it works out for ya.....keep us updated.....:D

I have been cleaning mine maybe twice a week but I wasn't sanding them down and putting noalox on them.
Now I will make that part of my ritual also.

We dont have to tight the parts if they are clean.
We have to take care the first big part that has the engraving on it. It has big internal threads so it gets dirty more easy.
I dont want much from my customers. Maybe the only thing that we have to have in mind is: clean , clean, clean. Keep it clean and it will last for ever!!

I have an old Trans here. I smoke it 10 days now and I keep it dirty to see what will happen. You will be surprised if I tell you that it cant smoke at all if I dont turn and turn again and again the threads to make a good contact.
Also you have to sand the spring too when you see that you have misfires.
