I have all ways agreed with the saying, by cheap buy twice. you will always know its a copy, clone or whatever you want to call it. if you want one buy the real deal even if you have to wait for it.

An original GG will always out perform a clone. to be honest I disagree with cloning. Its like you spend the time to right something then someone comes along and use's your paragraph by re writing it in there hand writing and publishes it and makes a mint, all of your hard work , knowledge and skill. I am sure 99.9% of users of this site would be well miffed at that. so why by a clone.

All your words are correct, though none have anything to do with this device.
Maybe people should stop throwing the word Clone around so loosely and use words that make more sense.

This is a device in the style of GG or designed similar to the GG or maybe just stick to the Facts like:

Here is another Telescopic mod. This one uses a side button kind of like the GG uses. Aside from that there is no comparison any different than other Telescopic mods.

I loved the Buy cheap Buy twice analogy although 2x KTS Storm only cost me $48. I'll use the other several hundred on E-liquids, tanks, etc. and take the wife to dinner :D

If companies didn't copy ideas and make them cheaper computers would still cost over $2,000, only the rich would have HDTVs, and cell phones would be a pretty decent investment.

Competition lowers prices and it happen in all facets of life. People buy "non-original" shoes, tires, clothes, etc etc ... all the time.

Why should vape gear be any different? And unless these non-chinese companies sprinkle magic fairy dust on their brass/steel machines parts ... I fail to see much difference when it comes to mechanical mods made out of the same materials.

You're paying for higher labor and longer machining times with a higher end mod. Functionality will be exactly the same provided the metals (resistance) are the same.

Noooooo! Well .... dropped my CCTS for the first time tonight on a metal frame.

A few scratches you can hardly notice unless you look closely but otherwise perfect. Always hate that first few scratches you put on things, but eventually you don't really care. This was going to be my "beater" mod anyways so over time I expect it too look like crap.

Might end up trying to see if I can polish off the chrome anyways as I actually kinda like the look of brass.

Oh noooo - you dropped it?? Now you have to buy a new one. Mortgage the house and rent out the wife and kids.......

Mine still looks as good as new but I'm a bit worried about the chrome wearing off. If (and when) it happens, I'm hoping to come up with a miracle cure to keep it looking good but I won't hold my breath. My perspiration eats chrome so I know it's inevitable and I'll soon be down to the original copper (I think that's what's underneath the shiny). I prowl the "girly mod" thread hoping for some insight - one never knows what the opposite sex may come up with (nail polish "borrowed from the SO" for instance). Perhaps a craftily cut wrap.

I intend to keep this little beast running until I wear holes in it one way or another.

As for the "few scratches, well, that's something I guess I won't worry about. Even with my latest drug store reading glasses on, I still have to squint to see the fingerprints I have to polish off. But I do feel for you. (See? - Aging does have its perks - you can't see the little flaws in life :D)

I wonder if you could gold plate one of these GG-ish mods for less than the cost of original, inspirational mod?

Probably. Before my eyes started giving me fits, I'd have Gold plated it for about $50. People really do WAY over charge for this and this service.

They actually have a chrome and gold version out. Thinking of buying a spare and getting that one as I just like yellow metals.

Like I said ... once I get enough scratches or the chrome wears I'm just going to polish it down to the brass. Then it will look even nicer imho. ;)

I planned on beating the crap out of this mod so I can't be all that upset. Atleast my glass tank on my aga didn't shatter! In a month or two ... when its not as new ... I won't even care about what it looks like honestly.
