By the way, I bought mine from Hoosier Vapes and paid the extra $3 to have the threads checked and lubed and they did an awesome job. Mine moves sooooooo smooth.
Definitely need to use dielectric grease (bulb grease) with this switch, i stated getting some weak vape and a hot switch about half an hour in but i had some in the garage and its working better than before now with no switch heat

My guess is he just unscrewed the bottom cap and smeared some on the post or the end of the button on the inside. You want to have it in-between where the post and the button make contact.
A little goes a long way. Spread a less than paper thin coat on the circumference of the spring post and the flat tip of the pin. No gobs! which might lead to a short.
Yes and yes. Just a thin layer on the spring post and a tiny dab on the end of the switch. I'm thinking about breaking it down and cleaning the Vaseline i used to lube the threads and try lubing them with dielectric grease to see if it reduces the.3v drop I'm getting under load.
Does lithium grease work?
After checking out dielectric, it seemed like lithium grease was a part of that crowd.
Because my switch was heating up all the time, I thought I had nothing to lose and gave it a shot. It worked all evening but I've no idea if what I did solved the problem or if I just got lucky...................

I don't know much about lithium grease, I've only used it to lube the garage door. The stuff I'm talking about comes in that little packet the auto zone clerk recommends when you buy new bulbs for your head/tail lights, its much more paste like than lithium.
I would have to say no on the lithium grease. That's meant for lubrication. The di-electric grease is meant to help conductivity.
