Here's mine when I got it early last month:

Here it is about 2 weeks later:

Chrome comes off real fast.

Here it is now:

Still use it everyday like an addict. At least I've laid off analogs for good. :D

Where did you get yours? It has a logo on it that I am not familiar with. I thought Kamry was the only one that made them.

China GG, two-tone, Chrome/Gold, ORDERED

Well, given the complete satisfaction that I got with my sigelei #8 and the vendor, I just ordered the KTS-GGTS too with them. I believe at $32 this thing can't be pricematched anywhere, nor can be beat on Price Vs. Value.

I've got one of the solid brass models that has gotten really dark. I want to clean it up and shine it up, then put a clear wrap or some other kind of protection over it to keep it that way. I think I have a Dremel, but no attachments and no workbench or clamps ... maybe not even a Dremel, I'm not sure. In other words, I'm gonna have to do this by hand. I was hoping for some guidance on things like sandpaper and polishing compounds, and maybe what kind of results I can expect without using any power tools. Obviously, I'm not expecting a mirror finish, but I would like to achieve a nice, warm satiny look. Is that in the realm of possibility? Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

You can use brassos or mothers mag polish. I prefer mothers mag, brassos has too much ammonia and too rough of a grit. If you are only trying to get rid of the tarnish (brown color) a simple polish with a microfiber towel and mothers mag will get your chi shiny again. If you need to remove minor to major scratches, sand paper will be needed. How low of a grit depends on the scratch depth.

Tip: dont polish in a circular motion. Polish up and down or left and right. Swirl scratches will happen if circular motions are used.

I sanded down my extra switch I bought at Hoosiers last night and attempted to put it in my CCTS. There were more threads on the spare switch compared to the one that came with my CCTS. The entire switch ended up coming apart as I tried to tighten it.

Just a heads up for people thinking about buying a bunch of spare switches. In my case, the spare WOULD NOT fit. Whether they changed the switch threading on the newer GG clones or I just got a bad machined switch ... I have no idea.

Oh wow, that sucks. I purchased a replacement switch from Hoosier and it fits great. I bought my CCTS this month from Stormy's, not from a co-op.

Fullknight - Any reply from Hoosier on what is up with the replacement switch they are selling?

I talked to them she said the switch wouldn't fit the older Chi Chi. She said she would check with the vendor to see if she could get switch replacements for V1 of the Chi Chi. I just thought the gold one was nice to replace my silver switch.

As someone I trust when it comes to methodical examination of these Chinese mech mods I've got to ask... Are the CCTS replacement switches a possible replacement for the one in the Sig8 (and maybe the 13a?) It sure *looks* like the same design, right down to the knurling on the lock!

That two-tone CCTS is a great looking mod. I may end up with one myself soon. Hoping SOME vendor on this side of the ocean starts stocking all kinds of replacement goodies for these mods!

The switch on the ccts is too small in diameter to fit in the threaded switch hole on the sigeleis you referred to.

Me too!
Though I don't know why, b'coz my Sig.#8 is too darn good - looks great - classy to hold/flaunt - stands a full day with an 18350 inside and 2-days with an 18650 - gives the best vapes - and sort of blows me off! However, the 'looks' and the price of this China GG was hard to overlook I guess.

This is my first mechanical mod. I'm going to use it straight at first, but plan to buy a kick for it eventually.

Let us know how that works out for you ;) I'm glad you said "eventually" because I had the same thoughts. Now? I still don't own a kick and doubt I ever will.
