K100 is a more solid piece than the ChiChi. Better built and hits harder with less voltage drop. Its weight makes it less pocket friendly, but it sets up shorter for a given battery mode. I have a second K100 on order, and own 3 ChiChi's, one set up in AGA-T hybrid mode. Happy with them all for the few $ spent :)

I second this. I like my Chichi, but love my k100! It is a great solid mod.

Thought I would share the KTS I refinished. The finish was coming off the middle and bottom tubes so I figured wth. I sanded it down, used a vinegar patina and sealed with polyurethane. I left the top cap alone, and the bottom was sanded down to show the brass but the gold strip was left alone.

Huge thank you to Vash for helping me out along the way!

Umm... I don't totally remember what I did but I can tell you it is removable. It's a PITA but it's possible. Can't find my Chi Chi right now either. too much FC juice on last use. I think I used a small nail w hammer and some how knocked the two pressed fittings apart - isn't one hollow? Yeah I think I put a nail into the hollow side and knocked it with a hammer.

Just got a pair of these from Hoosier Vapes. What a waste of money, I am thoroughly unimpressed, even at this price. I am amazed at what a cheap peice of garbage this mod feels like in the hand. I feel like the tube threads would be easy to crossthread. The tubes are so thin I feel like I could crush this mod if I squeeze it too hard. Even my Sig8 feels extremely well crafted next to this thing.

I got one of the two to give to a friend who wants to try mech vaping, not sure if I should even expose her to this, I don't want her to get the impression that other mods are crafted so poorly.

Sorry to anyone who loves this mod, I mean no offense, just sharing a little frustration.

Interesting... I have been using the first chi chi I got on a daily basis with an IGO-L, and have had no issues. I used noalox on the threads, and they are very smooth, and haven't crushed it yet. I like the relatively light weight, and use it with 18490 Batts. I guess since my expectations were so low, I have been very happy. Different strokes etc....

For as thin and flimsy as it does feel, it's held up very well (except the chrome finish) and performs pretty dang good. It is a good first mech to get one's feet wet. First impressions can be swayed with a disclaimer. Besides, she might like that it is lightweight compared to it sturdier Stainless Steel cousins.

I'm actually really enjoying mine. Because it is made of brass, it has much lower resistance than my gp paps, which is stainless steel. The first few times I puffed on it with my bliss atty attached I was coughing my head off because it was making much more vapor than I expected. I'm already noticing the finish isn't very durable, but for 35 bucks, I'm pretty pleased with it.securedownload.jpg

+1 on the noalox. makes a worthwhile difference.
also, using it in 18350 mode feels much more sturdy than 18650 or even 18500mode.

Thanks for all the feedback folks. First impression was a little harsh I suppose, just really turned off by how very lightweight and.. insubstantial it feels, and that the battery spring has already put little circle shaped impressions in a few batteries.

The threads don't feel rough, my point about cross threading was more about when you go to put two pieces together. It does feel more solid in short mode but even then it's easy to make it wiggle just vaping it, kind of irritating. I'll be getting some thread grease this weekend (finally).

My girlfriend seems quite fond of hers so far so I haven't shared my true opinions about it with her, lol, maybe her friend will like it too. I do have to say.. the thing does hit well. No misfires, no hot button yet (I've vaped from .6ohm to 2.2ohm on it).

Just got my KTS gold/chrome in from vaportekusa and it will not fit a single 18350. Is this normal? Looks like it was made for an 18350+kick in its shortest mode. Don't mind using it in 18650 mode, but using it with a single 18350 or an 18350+Holocron/2cent fuse would have been a plus. Other than that, this thing is beautiful, and I love the switch!

Sure 18350 fits, take off the top tube. the top tube is needed for larger then 18350 batteries. I did the same when i 1st got my mod.
