I really like it - it's a big improvement over the original top cap. I have to retract the bit about the diameter being a perfect match, though. The RSST is a little less than a mm wider, the AGAT+ less than that. So not quite the "hybrid effect," but very sleek and streamlined. And no knurling!
I like the flat top so much better. "no knurling" ALSO NO VENT HOLES. So, just to be safe... safety fuse your mech. I was dripping last night on my flat top gold n chrome, with my new dual coil rba. My poor 18350 efest just did not last to long. But this device is AWESOME!!!!! I am still not going to part with my sig's. I am hoping an SG-2 adapter comes out soon for this. It should not be far away now.

Hey guys, we are getting trashed by the MKB-TS crowd on their forum postings, but that is life in vapeville, I am loving my KTS.

Now for a question: Anyone who has the new KTS Storm flattop in Gold and Chrome - Is the gold plating any better than the original?

I love the flat-top look, really do not need another device, but if the gold plating is holding up, I might push the buy button.

I've the two-tone KTS, and it's not gold - I think they just polished brass there, and chromed the rest.

Frankly, I love the knurling and dislike the tapered-caps - let alone the 'rings' in the base-cap: knurling, I can grasp - smooth and shiny means slippery. I prefer to be able to grasp and not drop. I could go for the flatop easily, but leave.my.knurling alone!

The gold is a thin plating and will wear off. Underneath the plating is a plating of copper then down to the tube which is brass. Many have polished theirs to the brass. Look at the posts in the 300 range on this thread and you will see what some have already done to theirs.

Its a great device that works and not just works but works great. At 17 bux at Fast Tech you can not go wrong. It's the biggest bang for your buck. It vapes like a steam train. It is telescopic, and takes a great range of batteries. It is purty.

Did I mention I like it! LOL :)

Seriously if one wants a mechanical this is idiot proof and a complete no brainer in MHO.

Anyone have thier spring collapse? I dropped my Drawtube today and it seemed fine and continued to work.So got home and built new coil on RSST put battery in KTS and when I was pulsing on KTS the spring collapsed! Im assuming battery got messed up from fall so Im tossing it and getting new one.Now I need new bottom cap for KTS.Any place besides hoosier vapes that have them?

I wanna add that I wasnt pushing some SLR coil. Was 1.2 ohm coil so not super low and battery was not over charged.I am using a SS rope wick and Im wondering if it might have touched top cap if it was a little long and could have caused some problem too.Im pretty sure it was just batt that collapsed spring since mod took pretty hard fall.

Finished my cheebrid with the help of this forum. I'm very pleased with the results. I guess I won't need a flat top :D

Just got my KTS off the classifieds yesterday! Threw my AGA-T2 on it (much closer fit than I expected, still not perfect though) and had a 1.6 ohm coil already wrapped from using on my Vamo. Not bad. But this being my first mechanical mod I decided to see what all the hype over sub ohm coils was about...

Wrapped up a 0.8 ohm coil on my SS cable wick. Holy ....... WOW!! NOW I get it!!! And I haven't even looked at my Vamo since haha. This mod is just great. It does feel a bit flimsy and cheap, but once a battery is in it it feels great in your hand and the performance is just off the charts. I can't believe this is what I was missing! I would post a picture, but there's already plenty of gold/chrome KTS with AGA-T2's on them here!

Now I know the finish is going to wear off... what kind of finish do I want to put on it... Never done that kind of thing before, so probably something simple :p

I love the color of the bare copper. I just got my gold flat top in the mail today so I won't be sanding anything down until I get bored with how it looks. Which will happen eventually....
I bet bare copper (or brass, I always get the two confused, visually) is the next "big thing" outta the Chinese companies....

After hearing about peoples finish wearing off after just 1 or 2 days use, I'm pleased to say that mine is still holding up after almost a week. I haven't been gentle on it either. I've used it exclusively, taking it to work, keeping it in my uniform pocket. After a quick polish with nothing more than my shirt it looks almost brand new still! I'm sure it's still coming eventually, but I just thought I'd share that in case that was putting anyone off from buying this awesome, inexpensive mod.
