With a kick installed I'm getting hit and miss firing with my switch. Everything is clean. Contacts, tube threads, battery terminals, Switch pin and battery post..EVERYTHING! I've replaced the switch pin with the brass pin. The batteries are reading 4.2v, so they are fully charged. Kick contacts (all 3) are clean. Nolax applied to threads. Nolax removed. Vasoline applied. Vasoline removed. Make it tighter. Make it looser. Fiddle with the battery spring. I've even replaced the switch with a known good one with magnets. I've tried it all. If the Kick is in, this thing will fire when it feels like it. The lower the battery volts the more likely it is to missfire (not fire at all). @3.7v it's 50/50 on firing and takes a second or two to do it. I've tested this kick in another device and it's SPOT ON! The problem seems to be my GGTS not sending even, clean, power through the mod. Something is causing it to stutter and not be even and constant.
Without the kick the problem does not SEEM to exist. Before everyone says "It's the kick" I will point to this.

Good old PBusardo is reviewing a knock off here....that has the exact same issue I'm having! He shows on the meter how it's dropping out and causing the kick to misread the voltage. Kick feels low voltage, and it does not pass the power. Sometimes when I press the switch VERY HARD it will help. Pressing harder is not a fix though. This knockoff is acting EXACTLY like my GGTS!
My GGTS switch is slightly off center due to the tube hole for the switch being tapped out of line. It's ever so slight...But it's far from dead on straight. Other than this small defect I can see no reason why I'm having this issue. I really doubt this small thing is the cause, but it's the only thing I can call a defect on the unit.
A friend of mine has a a few GGTS's running kicks, and none have this issue.
I'm at a loss for what to do here. Please help.
