GGTS Received, My thoughts..

Received my GGTS #289 yesterday, a day I have been eagerly awaiting. I have a few other mods but knew the GGTS was for me. Package arrived, I was excited.

Opening it up I loved the wrapping etc, thanks Lisa, finally getting to the product I was in love. My last mod was a Silver Bullet, I expected it to be that size. Due to better manufacturing it is a lot smaller and lighter which surprised me a lot.

So into the Ultra Sonic bath I put my new baby, then a bit of a polish. Finally time to use it.

I loved everything about it except the button, all my other mods have had button near the top and I didn't like it near the bottom. Also felt too big and maybe a bit rattly. After a day use I would still prefer the button on the top and maybe smaller.

Went for 7.4V of course with VHV and it was a bit strong for me so played around with different Attys and batteries. Had a few issues. You need to be careful when tightening or the atty .... plug will push the bottom of Attys in causing a short. Pair of tweezers can correct this by pulling it out slightly. Maybe more of a 510 issue than 901.

Another issue I had was with the spring fuse (I updated). All looked fine but vape was random, changed the spring (looked fine) and all came good. A mod I would suggest for this is as follows imeothanasis if possible:

At the end of the screw instead of screwing the fuse on, hollow out the screw so the end of the spring sits in it.

Played around with different batteries and Attys, found another slight issue. With a 510 atty and no adapter the .... plug extends into the body too far causing thread to show that doesn't while using the 901. 901 works a lot better visual wise than 510 with different batteries. Two fixes for this:

Use the 901-510 adapter to move the Atty further from the body ie:

GG 901 to 510 adapter - Cloud 9 Vaping

or another option would be a new shorter .... plug just for 510's.

I hope I don't sound like I'm complaining, very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend the GGTS to anyone. Even vaping at 3.7V is like 5 or 6V on other PV's. Now to work out the combination of voltage and atty that's perfect for me :)

Another option that might be useful is a new short Aluminium section for the top half when using single smaller batteries and not using the centre brass screw piece..

I am very happy that you received your GG Hope my friend and I am very pleased that you liked it!. Ok, I will answer to all of the issues you mention:

1) the moving center pole is not an issue if you screw telescope as I have already said, that means not too much. You will find very quickly the right point:)

2) Fuse is not an issue, it was because spring didnt sit well inside the fuse tube. You move it a little and you are ok

3) The threads are shown with the 510 because I didnt want to make GG bigger just to hide 3 threads. But some people (like e.g. you) dont want this, I can understand. Maybe in future I will hide them.

Yes, a bit of rattle, but try putting the button on your palm and activating it by squeezing your hand (sort of like making a fist). That button can be activated in a number of very comfortable positions.

You need to be careful when tightening or the atty .... plug will push the bottom of Attys in causing a short. /.../ With a 510 atty and no adapter the .... plug extends into the body too far causing thread to show/.../

The center post of the atty connector should be loosened via the large-diameter, thin nut inside the tube. Then screw on the atomizer, push the center post until it makes contact, and tighten the nut again. Now it fits 510 attys, no problem. AND, as imeo just said, do not tighten the telescope too hard.

Nope, just sounds like your learning to use a GGTS. :)

Sounds like you are re-inventing the old GGT! I love mine. :)

Hiya HoPeFuLLL, great to see you here, and with such useful feedback and tips too.
You'll have a great time discovering your favourite atomiser and battery combinations, I tend to stick to one combo for a few weeks and then change it around a bit for a different feel. It's so nice to have what is really 3 or 4 different mods in one unit isn't it?

I have this problem where I obsessively overtighten, so I feel you on the telescoping thing. But after a while you get the feel for when the resistance is just right, and the telescoping part won't feel loose.

When I'm stressed out (like today) I break things... haven't broke my GGTS yet!

I stay here because the community is super supportive and Imeo puts up with a lot of my diva requests, Rob always has to change my orders at the last minute, and Lisa hasn't filed legal action against me for my unhealthy accent fetish.

I've heard that issue before and I believe Imeo said to put an O-ring around the 4 holes on the threads and that takes care of that issue. Some users have cut a piece of the end of the carto condom so it looks like a ring and slid that over the holes to fix it. And by fix I don't mean it's broken. Just a preference. The first time I used a carto was on the GGTS and it's now my favorite
