I truly enjoy my PV. Using it I have cut down from almost two packs of 120s a day to four or five :D I also use Stonewalls disolvables for the extra chemicals in tobacco. I can go all day without a cigarette with no problem., but I enjoy smoking and see no harm in having a couple if I want them. Less than a year ago, I would have braved this blizazard wet and naked to buy cigarettes if I had run out of them. One thing that has really helped is keeping my analogs in my husband's office and asking him for one when I want one. It keeps me from the "smoke em if ya got em" habbit.

But this month I had a problem. I got a killer case of PMS/ PMDD. Much worse than normal. I mean, I made Linda Blair look pleasant. I want to chain smoke analogs and want nothing to do with my e-cig. My poor husband made the mistake of commenting that I was asking for cigarettes way too often. The man is either a saint or a massochist. I don't know how he doesn't kill me. (He says when he gets to Heaven, he is going to punch Eve in the face for causing this. LOL) I stormed out of the house and bought a pack. I smoked them all within a couple of hours.

So ladies, does PMS cause a major problem with the quitting smoking thing? I understand that our chemicals are all messed up, but we are getting the nicotine we need from the e-cig, and all the other chemicals from the snus. Has anyone else had this problem? Do you know of anything that helps? I do recall reading that there are certain times of the month you shouldn't try to quit smoking - but I was not changing anything in my daily habbit.

Well, it has been thought we don't get as much nicotine from the vaping as we do from the cigarettes...maybe your body really wants the nicotine to take the edge off from the hormone changes? Might be an idea to get some gum or the patch (and remember, if u do try the patch, remember not to keep vaping nicotine with it, that's a bad habit to start and could really hurt you). But if you are worried about your extra desire for the analogs, try another NRT to help ease it? Or maybe go up in nicotine levels? Just ideas. I have never experienced that...but I'm also vaping my stick like it's a friggin' pacifier at all times...so...

I have never tried nicotine gum or the patch, so I have no idea if that would be helpful at all.

Also, maybe indulge in some chocolate. It's believed that we crave chocolate at that time to help with cramps and other things during that time...maybe you just need a really big chocolate bar (and no, don't try stickin' it in your atomizer  I'm just teasing ya).

Hope you return to normal soon :( And tell the husband to lay off! HEEHEE!

Gosh I'm not sure what to say. Even when I had PMS it was a more weepy time (course I was smoking then). And I have never craved anything in the analogs except the nicotine...don't use snus. Maybe just try to up you nic mgs during those times?? That's the only thing I can think of. I don't know what mg of nic you are using now but it's the only thing I can come up with!!! Sorry I'm not more help!? And I just know you saw you had a reply to your thread and you thought WOOHOO somebody knows something I can do!!! NOT!!! :D:oops:;)

No doubt PMS causes stress and aggravation. I quit once or twice during that time and I was a bear! PVs didn't exist back then :-(. The best I can offer you is to do a LOT of stretching exercises, even hit a punching bag (not your husband) now and then, and dance as much as possible! I kick up the Bose iPod dock to Billy Idol or Tom Petty and just work it off. IMO, your PMS has very little to do with this. I am still going thru it - so smoke a real cig now and then - its okay. You will be fine.

Been vaping for about three weeks. If it helps make you feel better, I went from zero to ..... in under six seconds the other day. I didn't kill a pack but I've definately upped the analogs over the last couple days.

I guess there are alot of adjustments and I'm gonna chuck this into that big pile of ''this too shall pass"

As smokers we use nicotine to adjust moods and kill pain, it also has effects on eostrogen though i can't find the study its probably google-able - doesnt surprise me it affected you this way though. I used to use smoking to control period pains. Short sharp inhales followed by long deep ones did the trick. Can't do that on a PV.
I haven't noticed any increase in PMS (searcher; it mean pre-menstrual syndrome and used to be called PMT, T being Tension.) though.
