Just wanted to update: we got our kit on Friday, and I just smoked the last Pall Mall Menthol. We spread the pack out over 35 hours, and it would have lasted 10 without the ecig option.

Roomie took the Greensmoke with him to work, and he *may* bum analogs while there, but he has been so supportive of my efforts to switch, I hope he doesn't cheat.

I'm really dedicated to this, and have ordered the DIY supplies to make my own juice. Just need the back up batteries, but so far so good.

Thanks again to everyone on the board, and I'm really excited about being free from the *stinkies* as you say :)

I have smoked since I was 14 years old, and I just turned 50. I worry about the effect smoke has had on my pets, I know the effect it has had on my lungs.

I think this is the cure to cigarette addiction. I know I am addicted to nicotine, and have tried to quit with patches, but the electronic option is the best bet for people like me.

Thanks again to all who gave advice, and XOXO to those who are trying to use this method to manage the addiction to nicotine.

Congrats! I'm also 50 yrs old and smoked for 30 years. I was lucky enough to start vaping a little over two years ago. It's a wonderful new option. I have slowly over time wiped my walls down too so I hear ya. Lol. I used to be so paranoid about the smell cause I smoked in my house. My poor dogs and bird dealt with it. Now they love me so much more. Lol.

Welcome to ECF! I started vaping about nine months ago and I have learned to have backups of everything. I use cheap mod when I am out and about. I keep a least 3 extra batteries, 12 volt charger, 3 tanks full and ready to use and an extra cheap mod. Stock up on juice and let it steep. I have learned this from members of this forum and it has helped me get over analogs and stay off of them completely.
GOOD LUCK AND STICK WITH IT!!!!!!!!

This is great news! Keep up the excellent work!

Similar track here. Don't get too disappointed if the first couple of tries aren't quite up to expectations. Try single flavors first to get an idea what percentages work best for the flavors you get. Like an idiot, I immediately jumped into trying some complex recipes with, uh, less than spectacular results.

Again, similar track. Started at 13, paying a usurious 35 cents per pack from machines. Have you had any recent chest x-rays? Not to brag, but I get them regularly as part of an annual physical, and every year have had the doc look for signs of damage from smoking. Almost always the same reply, "You smoke? can't tell by the x-ray, but you need to quit." :p

Same thing here with patches, gum, hypnotism, cold turkey, everything but Chantix. Hope they work for you! Five weeks + without tobacco products for me, and I have no desire for cigarettes. Even went out bar-hopping with some buddies last night and turned down some very nice cigars, vaping a juice from Fog Boss that tastes like the old Girl Scout Samoa cookies instead! :2cool:

When I used ego style batteries I found this to be my perfect kit:

2 batteries
2 Pro-Tanks and maybe 1 EVOD (still love the way those hit for a BCC tank)
1 wall + usb charger
extra atomizer heads

Of course, this only lasted me about 6 months before I was buying mods and trying carto tanks. Still haven't tried dripping and RBAs, but I'm sure thats next.
