The price you pay with FT is patience - but as long as you are prepared to wait it is in most circumstances the way to go imho (but do your homework here first to save possible problems).

After two fruitless stops at the vape shop nearest my home, I'm sticking with online purchases ...

Unlike most in this thread, I really don't know if the staff in my local store is knowledgeable or not, they've never spoken to me. Both times I entered, there was a group of 6 to 8 boys and girls vaping on a couch and engaged in a cryptic (to me) conversation that didn't seem to touch on anything in the store. All were 20-something, very self-absorbed, and seemingly amused at a senior citizen in their midst ...

I did have the run of the shop, the display cases were open, and spent my time checking out the hardware, totally ignored by any of the couch potatos that might have actually worked there, and their high school chums ...

Makes a good venue for hands on examination of mods and mechs beyond my own entry-level stuff, but buying anything would require acknowledgement by a salesperson first ...

I had the same thing happen to me at a ego only shop first time I went in the owner helped me out and did a pretty good sales act to get me to buy buy buy. I did get a kit but everytime ive gone in since its been full of YOUNG hipsters that think the old person must know nothing about their world. I still new but I know a protank is not going for $25 I got my extra one online for $16 and probably less if I looked around some more. They do have a juice bar but all the fruit flavors taste the same wont be going back there

Well, my local B&M has one ditz in there right now, but she is heading off to college in 4 days, and is the manager's niece and, only 17 so, I can forgive the shop that one for the summer. The rest of the staff are good with what they sell and, the juice is mixed on site, in pain view of customers and, is good. They aren't up on mods beyond the one they sell but, that's okay, I don't expect them to know lick spittle about my Provari, a REO or anything they don't sell.

happens when everyone wants to open up an ecig store. everyone is jumping in while its still lucrative. even my former manager started her own ecig store without any prior vape knowledge and she doesnt vape either. kind of gave up on looking to b&m's for purchases unless i absolutely need it. buy online. save money.

Best thing - either FT and Liqua or mix your own. I do both.

Yeah... the local B&M is more a DIY tobacco shop that is starting to dabble in e-gear... I give him all the credit in the world since it was the owner that showed me my first eGo.. and sold me my first starter kit, an eGo with a couple of CE4s and a small bottle of tobacco flavored juice.

Problem is, when I got home and started to do some real research and I found that he kind of rips people (and me) off in terms of gear. But he has a really impressive selection of juices for sale though... price is a little high for a B&M though. I think he is exploiting the fact that there are like zero vape stores in the area... so a lot of people are willing to pay the inflated prices (maybe not knowing that there are plenty of online vendors that will do the trick).

If only I had a wormhole that would drop me into the middle of Newnan, GA from time to time....

i have looked into them and know to look for brand names for legit ones and to take everything with a pinch of salt. going to start with some cartos and clearomizers to start with and then finally get a vamo v3 if all goes well. wouldn't trust there juice though but hopefully find one here online closer thats got good juice reviews. thanks for the heads up.

No problem - the Liqua juices on FT are very good and very cheap. Mine have always come properly sealed in genuine retail packaging. Did I mention that the Cherry and the Apple taste great? Not clouds of vape because mainly pg but a very good flavour imho.

P.S. I got a SS Vamo V2 from FT as a backup for my other one (bought in UK). It works brilliantly.

I got 2 ecig stores fairly close by. One of them, VaporShark opened in 2010 and the other one, Izzyvapors opened a month ago. Izzyvapors got a lot of stuff for being new. They have their own line of juices along with halo juices, some organic and an italian line of gourmet juices. The bad part is the lack of nicotine levels. Most of the time they don't have the flavors in all nic levels. Hell they only had Halo Sub Zero in 24 mg nic lol. However they got some exotic flavors. They know their stuff, not a lot into mechs and RBAs but then again most people that go there dont want that kind of gear. They are very fond of Vivi Novas and thank God they got original ones.

VaporShark has as well excellent service. All of the workers have lanyards with their PVs vaping every now and then. To my surprise they even had freaking Provaris and its respective accessories for sale. I asked them about it and they told me they barely profit from them but they wanted to offer them as an option for high end quality VV. Also got a big line of juices with a lot of variation and 6 levels of nicotine from 0 to 32 mg I think. Tasty, but there are better juice vendors online. At least I have piece of mind knowing should I ever need a vivi or protank head I'll have them there.

I think that that's worth a lot. Nothing worse than being caught out - which is why I have tons of spares that take up space.

Luckily space isn't an issue but my wife and I have had some interesting conversations beginning "and what do you really need in that drawer?"

Actually... now that I've mentioned them, I might go stop by on the way home to see what's up... Now that I've found my white whale - a tobacco ADV - I am starting to branch out into other flavor families and they have a HUGE menu. The only problem is that they are a 100% VG shop, REALLY thick stuff too, and their stuff absolutely devastates my coils. I was using a Vivi Nova at the time, and after only a few tanks, the coil looked like someone had caked it in black tar... nasty, knurled and crusty looking thing.

I've been vaping HHV NET lately, and unless I burn up a wick by acting a fool, a quick cleaning in some vinegar and hot water, followed by a quick dry burn, my wicks go white again. Saying that their juices are clean ain't no joke. I have a dwindling supply of original eVod coils, and I ain't too keen on encasing one in carbonite.

Though, I do have that atty...
