I often browse the timeline and see so many posts about vaping issues. People resorting to smoking, having issues with burnt tastes, faulty coil heads, problems wicking, switch magnets acting up, terrible vapor production and on and on...

I've had my reo for several months now and I can say without a doubt, it works the way it did from day one... Perfectly.

I hope these folks figure this out some day. vaping is so ridiculously easy with a reo. It almost hurts to read these threads about folks having an awful time with sub-par gear.

Another thanks to Rob for an amazing machine that vapes flawlessly every time with little maintenance.

That's all I got, thanks for listening!

I think Norrin is right. We all have very different experiences and to me, spending the kind of money I would spend on a Reo without knowing what it's like is a bit scary. Most of my gear has started off with buying a clone of the item I am interested in and if I like it, I then buy the authentic. No such luck for a Reo type mod, no clones to try that I have found.

@TamiPac - yup, the reo is not one of your cheaper mods. The advice we usually give someone who is reo-curious is that the worst thing that can happen to you is to turn around and sell it on the classies for pretty much what you paid for it. They can sell in as little as 12 minutes (I kid you not). It happens from time to time, but the vast majority of peeps who get and try one become fast converts. Most in here have been through the mvp/provari/tube-mech/DNA cycle and have landed on what we consider the best of the bunch, and it's certainly not from a lack of experience that we feel that way. Maybe consider giving it a try.

I have none of these problems and don't have or want a reo. They might be good and work well for you but everyone is different and thinking that the reo is the be all and end all is just a little bit narrow minded.

Have a vape, brother (sister?). He wasn't putting anyone or anything down, just wishing they could experience the vaping bliss he's enjoying. He's a happy vaper, s'all.

I think with Aspires BVC coils and the new sub-ohm coils/tanks coming out we will start seeing less and less of the painful "why can't I just get a decent vape" stories. There is always going to be issues with specific products and people complaining, but part of the reason people get so desperate is that there really hasn't been a decent vape without a lot of trial and error learning what works best for the individual person.

The reason why most Reonauts are so enthusiastic is because we've been though a lot of what we see people going through and when we finally broke down and bought a Reo, we figure out how wonderful and relatively easy it is to get a great vape with a Reo. This makes people want to tell other people about it.

I compare it to the whole quitting smoking by vaping phenomenon itself. When smokers or just people I meet ask me about vaping, I'm probably TOO enthusiastic, but for me it has been a life-changer. After trying and failing to quit smoking multiple times over the last 20 years and dealing with my cigarette habit expanding and my health deteriorating, the fact that vaping allowed me to stop smoking within the first couple of days and has kept me cigarette free for almost a year is amazing. The fact that I'm starting to feel like I'm going to live past 50 and actually see my grand kids get to be adults is not much short of a miracle in my eyes. I'm not an evangelist who tells every smoker I meet that they JUST HAVE TO try vaping as a way of quitting, but when someone tells me about how they have tried and failed I'm ready to just hand them everything they need to get started and I know many vapers and most Reonauts are the same.

Will it work for everyone, no. Just like Reos/bottom feeders are not for everyone, but when you see someone struggling i think for good people find it's hard NOT to suggest something that has worked for them.

Oh and just like any group, there is always a few zealots that get fanatical and uncompromising that THEIR way is the right and only way to think. I don't think Reonauts are any worse than car people and are almost always better than sports fans (fanatics).

Just my $0.02

I sent my Grand back to Rob for a rebuild.... mine had lots of miles on her. I should get it back today and.... I can honestly say I missed her! There is just no better device on the market.

I just read on the Reo website- where it says : "Still carry bottles of juice, napkins, batteries and all the other stuff you need?" The napkins! I don't miss having juice running down my arm and having to carry napkins!

I really must be doing everything wrong, not having these problems and able to put my device in my pocket and not needing to carry anything else with me. So what sort of non reo set up do I have to get? I want to make it hard for myself so that I can see the point of one.

Is there a Reo thread that explains the workings and setting it up that is informational only? I've tried reading a few threads and will all the comments and chatting, I get caught up in the conversation and lose what I've read that was the education part. :)

I've been all over the web site as well, a few times, and still don't feel like I've even wet my feet information wise. Any suggestions will be appreciated!

I thought they were fairly simple (could have got something wrong???) a box mod, mech and I think there are VVs too with a bottle of liquid you squeeze so it fills your dripper from below. A fairly simple idea, the best ones usually are, that let's you drip without dripping.

I've got other mods with drippers and they are nice while at home in my recliner or at the computer when I want to vape some new flavors. The Reo is definitely my traveling mod though. They aren't without problems but both are user error on my part. If I'm really distracted, I have squonked on a big ole inhale and gotten juice in my mouth.:p Or if I don't squonk long enough when my Reo gets really cold when I leave it in the car. The juice gets too thick.

With all the other gear I have I never left home without backup; not so with the Reo.

My post wasn't aimed at stirring up controversy on who's mods best but more to express my satisfaction with the reo. I've been through quite a few devices from ego starters, hana dna30, several tubes and rdas, kayfuns etc. Although I referenced some "sub-par" gear, I believe most of the gear I used on my journey to reoville is of great quality, however, it's all got maintenance requirements that I have eliminated or significantly reduced by having a reo.

I certainly agree, whatever keeps you from smoking is the best device. I do think that there are some devices that shine above the rest though.

I've got under $200 tied up in my reo (until I get a backup of course) and that's a fraction of what I spent on my other mods. The cost is really irrelevant considering what most people spend on gear before they land in reoville.

Either way, hope everyone enjoys their vape and keeps off the smokes.
