Congrats. As for the surface, if I recall correctly it is a little different - sort of like a Rebuildable carto. It uses NR / R wire too (funky stuff where you have to use resistance wire for the coil and non resistance wire for the leads that attach the coil to the atty)

Prolly not a beginner friendly RDA. You'd be much better served getting yourself an RM2.

I think you're right about getting another atty but I do have the ability to handle that one as well. I have all the stuff because I use it to build my Ithaka.

Consider yourself lucky.... Some of us had no choice but to start with a cig-a-like. We didn't have the great choices and info like there is today. I will point out that it is because of vapers like us that paved the way for yourself and others to have something that is reliable, easy to use, and satisfactory to vape... I agree with you on whatever keeps you off analogs is very good us all. Now if you want a device that is durable, "very" low maintenance, and cost effective, the REO would be that device... It has been stepped on, ran over by vehicles, dropped off buildings and ladders, only to be picked up and vaped right after such an incident has happened. There is not another device on the market that can claim that!!! Try anyone of those with a Provari and see what the outcome would be... You'd be buying a new device...

Not to mention, rigorous military testing!! My grand gets beat up at work everyday and it still performs flawlessly. The preferred mod at work is the grand, all together I think there's like 15 grands in my shop. We have grands that have deployed and survived Afghanistan.

Well, reos are, essentially, drippers, so your experience with other RDA's is in play.

Myself, I vaped 18 mg on kayfuns, dropped to 12 with RM2's, and then 6 with higher yield dual coil atties. I'd say try the 9 mg you have on hand before investing in lower nic juice (unless, of course, you have some lying around to test out).

Always have juice to play with. I buy zero nic in everything I love so I can mix it to get lower for my drippers. Was just curious because I know some attys really deliver and some don't, same with mods.

You don't need to buy 2 different nic mg's of the same liquid... Take your main liquid and mix it with straight PG or VG and that will bring your mg % down. I for instance buy DeKang Menthol in 6mg 100% PG and mix it with 100% straight VG and end up with a 50/50 blend that is now 3mg. For every 50ml of DeKang, I make 100ml of 50/50 blend... Cuts my liquid cost in half... I have tried the DIY route, and just can't seem to get the same flavor as the DeKang. That is why I mix it down...

I agree with the DIY statement, I suck at it!!!! But, I don't mix with unflavored juice because I don't like the flavor muted.

I went from 12 to 6. Then again I was blowing through juice at double my usual amount because of the better flavor.

So, about half just like I did. Thank you for telling me. I want this to be a great experience out the door. I tend to go "never mind" without really thinking it through if I get a bad vape off something and I really want to like the Reo! I can only imagine going on road trips and not freaking out about my equipment!
Last Wednesday I ended up with a dead battery an hour and a half from home and only 1 mod with me. It was one of the factors in wanting to try a Reo.
