So some people have stated that if you leave your juice in plastic bottles for too long it starts to taste plasticy. Does anyone else save their glass bottles from other vendors to clean out and put new juices into?

I have some glass halo bottles with glass droppers still hanging around, and I was thinking about doing this to hopefully keep my juices fresher so to speak.

Well, after reading everyone's input I have deduced that I do not in fact like a combination of...smokey tobacco, peppermint, spearmint, and vanilla.
The spearmint is whats killing it I think. I thought that maybe I was starting to get a weird plasticy taste, just paranoia and a bad combo of flavors.

There is a reason why better quality liquid vitamin/supplements come in amber glass bottles, ditto pharmaceutical prescriptions.

I think plastic is fine for juice you're going to use up quickly, or juice you don't have a lot of. But if I'm storing 30+ ml of juice, or juices that are "caustic", citrus, cinnamons, and a lot of the organic stuff I would put in amber glass.

I'm very concerned about using plastic bottles for e-liquid. I didn't think about it too much until one day I received a batch of juice that spent some time in the heat and had an extreme melted plastic taste to it. Now I wonder what is leaching into my juice that I can't taste or haven't yet noticed. It's a serious concern because even though the liquid itself may be relatively safe, vaping plastic all day cannot be good for you. I'd really like to see vendors package their products in all glass. I would happily pay more for that service as the peace of mind that comes with the healthiest possible product is worth the extra money in my opinion.

I would like to see Retailers offer Glass Bottles as an Option.

I'll pop for 60 cents more to get an e-Liquid in a Glass Botle that I can Use/Re-Use many Times. And if people Don't want to Spend any Extra for Glass, then they can get their e-Liquids in Plastic.

Seems like a Win for Everyone.

I prefer the peace of mind with the glass bottles even though I haven't yet had an issue with plastic bottles.
If you go through your juices fast then it wouldn't really matter anyway. Most of my favorite juices have come in glass bottles anyway, so I haven't had anything to compare as far as glass vs. plastic for long term steeping.

If plastic has liquid in it and is left in too warm of an environment it will start to disentigrate though. I have had a bottle of water that was nice and plasticy, but that was in extreme heat after weeks of being left like that.

What are you Basing this on?

I just meant regarding heat. If you have a temperature controlled area than it wouldn't matter. I am basing it off of my time spent in Iraq and my AC went out. It ruined everything in plastic bottles, including water. If its in glass, then you wouldn't have to worry about the plastic having issues. I'm overseas right now, so you never know how long until the equipment breaks down and needs repair.

Plus, glass bottles look cool.

I guess to re-phrase that last post, I would prefer my juices be in glass bottles in case the unfortunate happens.
Thats just an uncontrollable situation, but it does happen. For smaller bottles that I go through quickly it wouldn't matter so much.

I guess its situational really, but for my current situation glass would make more sense.

It's funny you mention 60 cents. I just ordered a whole bunch of these and I love them and have given a few of my fellow vaping friends a couple to try out. They have a large selection. I got the "eyedropper" variety for filling cartos (my eyesight/vision is degrading) and the 1/2 ounce size hold 10ml of juice with plenty of room to spare. Unfortunately the shipping just about doubles the price you are paying per glass bottle/vial, etc. unless you get huge quantities:

I ordered 3 empty blue glass bottles recently, intend to source a larger amount of varying volumes when I get the funds. Aside from the safety and no "leeching", they just look smexy.

They are Smexy Looking.

I use CE2 Cartos and the Eye Dropper Tops Makes Filling them a Snap.

I don't mind paying more for Glass Bottles because of How Long they Last. And that they Don't pick up Tastes so I don't have to keep track of What Bottle is For What. Just wash and Go.

BTW - 1oz is very close to 30ml
