Boardo, you used cotton? and an MC. hmm, id be even more mad if i took the extra time to make a MC to only fail again....

I've gotten so proficient at rolling micros, that they take a matter of moments to build now. You seriously just need to practice man... Even the failures will vape. Just put the messed up ones in your RDAs... As long as they are safe anyway.

Do you know what's to be changed on the Frogger V-3? (Which I will be getting when astro kicks off the co-op)

This is the first I am hearing of the FV3... I'll have to do some learning, off the clock of course!

i try and wrap them as close together as possible, and usually get em near aligned. but its the heating and squeezing that i find more consuming.

what gauge and how many wraps? for 1.1? for 1.3?

edit: just reread you std 29g. what size coil? i have been using a 7/64inch drill bit.

I used to be scared of micro-coils, when Schnarph and Tish first started mentioning them to me. Now, they're cake!
Once I get a tight wrap on my mini screwdriver (~3/16") I slide it off, pinch it with my needle-tip tweezers and torch it. It doesn't have to be perfect...

I don't wick it til I've tested and fired it...

My biggest problem was tightening it down in that little space around the screws...

5 wraps of 29 kanthal gets me at 1.1. ETA: Not sure what size the needle I use is. I wanna say 2mm... but I'll double check when I get home.

Are you heating and squeezing on the device? I found that super hard to do on the Fogger! But that's when I pulled out the hemostat.

On my drippers and Genny's, the heat and squeeze is cake.

Nah... I heat and squeeze before I install it. Then fire and adjust after screwing the coil down...

i guess ill give the old fogger a go again.

as soon as my discouragement has dissipated, i come here and read a discussion and think to myself: its easy, why would i have so many issues. you got this kid, try again. you're missing out on something special. generic statement of self encouragement.
i may be cursing you both late tonight, while the fam is sleeping, and i have dry hits and a handful of juice.
be forewarned, i whisper to myself in the lonely darkness of despair.

No worries LD... It's not that tough...
I do bring my wicks through, put on the cap then cut them as flush as i can. I don't mass with that damned rubber seal over the wicks.
Use cotton in your wick. Once you are built and before you put the glass on and fill, take the cap back off and prime the wicks...
Put the cap back on and fluff the wick (teehee) to make sure it seals the holes... No flooding... No dry hit!

Uncle, never fear. I may know how to push the boundaries, but I work well withing the rules of propriety...

How did you set it up? Look at the last few pages to see how boardo and I did it and compare your set up to ours... I'll answer any questions you or LD have. ;-)

just took a vape break in the mens room. nothing like the thrill of illegally vaping in front of the mirror hoping nobody comes in (or out of a stall).
I hit a sweet spot on my igo-l. 1.3ohm using a MC (really wish i had remembered to write down which gauge wire i used! doh....)
switched out the silica last night, and after a few hours it was broken in.
back to the mens room.
the cloud that i exhaled was thick and flavorful. one of the biggest clouds i have yet to create. fortunate that no one needed to potty (yes, potty), cause there was no hiding that one.
