That is an epic lineup! Lots of great bands! And Lionel Richie!
Lionel Richie was on the last day which was cancelled. Still, quite a lineup. Every year it's always something crazy.
I would love to see DM.
Great line-up, not so surpising there arent any big dj names on the list
Dj's come for SXSW. ACL doesn't even compare to SXSW which covers all of downtown and lasts 2 or 3 weeks. After working in a cheap restaurant downtown for years I came to dislike tourist spectacles of that kind. The number of drunk tourists that blew all their money on hundreds of dollars in tickets and overpriced drinks means little or no tips for overworked folks in food service. Between the two events millions of dollars come to town, I guess it's a good thing even though I dreaded it every year.

Back to the other topic, if anyone decides they need a Kick 2... PM me first. ;)

#2. Thought this cardboard tree was kind of interesting....

That would look cool hanging outside, spinning in the wind. Not sure how the cardboard would hold up though.

Tourists... I forgot about Summer X-Games being hosted in Austin over the next 2 years, and the new Grand Prix race track that just opened at the edge of town. Austin already had the 2nd worst traffic of any city in America before all that. Living 30 miles away is so much easier to deal with, poopy internet and all.

Tomorrow I drive to the Honda dealership for parts I can't get anywhere else, a 1 hour drive straight through that mess each way. May you all have a better day!

#4. It would hold up better where I live, though it would be better out of wood if used outside. Sorry about your drive tomorrow. I'd have them mail me the parts. I won't get on the freeway, it's crazy in So Cal.

Howdy to all the family.
Welcome!! Many familiar folk 'round these here parts :)
I'm torn... I paid off my car last month, granting me a vape-budget.
I'm looking at a shan-mod DNA20, or a neme-clone w/ mag switch and russian91(pre-order)...

Granted, knowing me, I don't like big purchases...
tough decision!

I think i am done buying mods for quite some time. between the vamo v5, and EA clone i feel content. I wouldnt mind a box mod eventually like the VTR or mvp2, but i am in no rush. Thanks to a friend here i am stocked up on RDA supplies for a while, and once i find my groove, i'll be good to go.
I do see myself needing a couple more IMRs, and id like to try some of the RBA tanks (the fogger is my second and frustrates me to no end). FT has some inexpensive iatty(?) clones that might be worth a shot, but the Ithaka is fantastic, however i dont take it to work as i find i can vape thru the whole tank in a few hours.
Ive been content with just bringing the igo-l out with a small 5ml bottle and a back-up vvv tank all with the vamo.

i have a small amount of interest in getting a high amp battery, and trying some sub-ohm builds, simply for vapor production.
this months tucson vape meet may have a cloud contest, for which one would need a sub ohm build and a capable battery to even have a chance at. you should see some of the scary levels these people push the limits to obtain god machine status. its impressive, but also dangerous. and i like my face and hands....

It's hard to break a quality mechanical mod and rebuildable dripping atomizer. I know many love their APV, but any VV or VW mod can break. Many swear by the durability of a Provari, but buttons can only be pressed so many times. It depends on whether you prefer longevity, ease of use, and/or saving some money.

Most "collectable replicas" don't hold their value like the genuine article, mass production usually screws with supply and demand. I'd go for the Russian in any case, they sell like hot cakes and the MAP keeps the price high even for possible resale. That may change but it's looking good so far. I see genuine Ithakas for sale all the time in the classies and it can take a while, Russians are not nearly as common and sell fast. I think it's the lack of ceramic cup and NR-R-NR coils, but I won't know until I try one... we'll see. ;)

@ LD: "Cloud contest". Sounds like a Darwin award waiting to happen.

@ SusanW: The parts are pretty big, shipping would be more than gas money and my time. I also have issues with the last repair done while it was still under warranty and need to get that worked out. They have wi-fi and I'll have my laptop, not a total loss of a day. :)

I would rather have work to do than nothing. I can't stand it when there's nothing to do. Actually, I don't have a job like that but there are days when nothing is urgent.

the most boring night at work. ive had nothing to do for the last 3 hours of my shift. i did save a bunch of money on my car insurance by dropping geico for a homeless man with no deductible. thanks homeless dude.

Thanks, Schnarph... That's the type of reasoning I needed to hear... I'll jump on the Russian pre-order (if I still can), at ~$50 it's a solid price for it. We'll see about the mech... Maybe after all the co-ops have dwindled on it the ole EA clone will be back in demand... Lol.
