Sorry I can't do Happy Birthday Mr. President for you my laptop is not working.

Sorry about the laptop, but imaging you singing Happy Birthday in a sultry voice... well, that's something I'd love to see!

For "jpf" to "Count" so he can see it for himself . . .

1. Gah, we got terrible thunderstorms coming. It went from 90+ degrees and bright sunshine, to almost pitch black outside in a matter of minutes. It's mostly above us in Memphis, but we are right under memphis so we aren't out of the woods yet.

2. Thanks guys for all the good wishes, crossed fingers, etc. Got a reprieve until next Monday...although not sure how good that is because that just means another week of worrying.

Oh yeah, it's someones birthday today...a big Happy Birthday to you Count! Hope you have a terrific day!

Glad to hear he got a reprieve If you need to talk, I'm here. ((HUGS))
Signing the lease and getting the keys to the new place tomorrow after work. I've still got so much to do. Going to pick up the new to me range tonight.

Congrats JPF!!

:bday:Happy Birthday Count!!!:bday:

Shh, You're only 21 today!
Ah, to be young and dumb again... (sigh)
Count if I sang in any voice it'd haunt you for the rest of your days.
You haven't heard my lounge-lizard karaoke rendition of Fleetwood Mac's "You Make Loving Fun"!
For "jpf" to "Count" so he can see it for himself . . .

Stay SAFE, @bellastarr

We're supposed to have a 50% chance of thunderstorms later today or tonight, and it would be nice if we had a LITTLE bit, just for the cool downrush and a splat or two of rain. I don't like those big ones, not at ALL.

I was going to post a tree pic with a big thunderstorm cloud, but I keep getting slammed by ads from Alibaba Express and it locks my browser up every stinkin' time. I wonder if it's because I went and looked at the fasttech site? Are they related, does anyone know? Or Alibaba is just hacking me?

So I guess it's the Tequila Tree for me this time! LOL!

For those inquiring minds, here’s a brief overview of my experience at VaperCon West 2015.
On our way over the pass, it was raining with thunder/lighting, even some flash flooding. It was quite the white knuckle ride, but the weather cleared as we reached Reno and stayed cooler than usual the rest of the weekend. :thumb:

We arrived a day early for the Meet ‘n Greet, which was awesome! (First pic is from that night)
The con itself was disorganized with conflicting start and end times. A big disappointment was that there were no freebies this year, except stickers. What the heck am I supposed to do with stickers?! At least I was able to PIF them. ;)

We met up with vape friends we made last year, as well as made new ones. I even made a new vape friend who lives 20-30mins away from me and I met an ecf buddy in real life!

My GF became a sub-ohmer, bought her very 1st device, and was doing vape tricks by the end of the weekend!
She used to smokes cloves, but I’ve been supplying her with Vision Spinners, Evod tanks and juice for the last 1.5 years.

We went to a cloud comp at a local vape shop, but it was ridiculous, so we left. The weather was far more enjoyable than last year’s triple digits, so we enjoyed a nice walk around downtown Reno. We also enjoyed some pool time and an all you can eat sushi that was super fresh and delish!

At the end of the con, when the vendors were packing up, there were a few deals to be had. My GF bought a White/Blue Evic VT Kit. I bought an IPV Mini II for only $4 more than I could have bought it new on-line and a couple yummy juices. That is the 1st mod I’ve ever bought brand new.

Not sure if we’ll go back, but we’ve definitely decided not to attend ECC this year. We may go to the Vape Summit next year, because it’s in Vegas, so there is much more to do than just the con. ;)

Have a terrific evening, everyone!

Catch you later….

Naaaah, that wasn't it, but thanks for trying! ;)

It was this one:

The thunderstorms that we had a chance of getting seem to have just missed us to the south. It's BLACK down that way, and they're probably 20 degrees cooler, and getting some rain, too. Maybe there'll be a few more (little) t-storms that come by overnight.

And just for giggles (this means yes, you can laugh at me), here's a picture I went OUTSIDE and 50 yards from the house to take, just a year or so after we moved here. I had not yet learned just how vicious a REAL supercell could be. Believe it or not, this picture was taken at 4:00 in the afternoon. That little dot up near the top is one of the hailstones that got lit up by the camera flash.

Luckily, it didn't kill me. One day maybe I'll tell you about the time I went over the fence after the dog in a blizzard and didn't tell Rich I was going...

Just got back from an early dinner with my friend. His dad seems to listen to him... at least today. We'll see if he remembers that tomorrow...

Lannie, that sure is frightening. I remember driving across Texas once with a friend and being scared when the whole southern sky turned green. I can't imagine it that dark at 4 pm.

Geez, what a day...

The shop was a-hoppin' and we had a microburst that sent Stepdot and Stepson scurrying home to tarp the newly purchased hay... and then it didn't rain at home... it was a micro-microburst.

After work we headed straight away to get another two loads of hay. That's 200 bales at roughly 60 pounds per bale loaded, transported, unloaded and stacked. 12000 pound... 6 tons... oh, my achin' back..

And this will only last 100 days or so... need another 400 bales to get us through.

Sheesh...
