Most Californian don't even know this, but, according to USGS, the southern California area has a couple thousand quakes daily, all under 3.0 (1.3, 1.9, 2.1, etc.) so no one even notices them.

I will qualify this for you: most people who move to California don't know this... We natives know and don't care. The news people from other states, though, make a huge deal of a 2.0 quake centered 50 miles off the coast.

Okinawa don't get the number of size of quakes that mainland gets. Most that happen aren't felt. Most that we feel are quick and small. Biggest I've been thru was a 5.5 that lasted a bit over a minute (I think) and that was more than enough.
Never been close to a tornado but seen plenty of water spouts - some a bit closer than I care for.
Been thru more typhoons than I can remember.

This past weekend was my last hurrah in many ways, including vape spending. I'm planning to wait to buy anything besides wire/coils, and juice reorders only, until the Black Friday sales.
