Every 510 cartomizer I put on my 5V GLV-2 using two Ultrafire CR123 3.6V batts ends up burning everything inside (the filler/eliquid) making it horribly harsh so bad that I can't even inhale it. It doesn't matter how full the carto is. It happens to every single one I use and I make sure they're completely full with e liquid. I have bought non rechargeable 3.0V CR123 batteries and I do not have this problem with those but when I use the batteries the GLV-2 is designed to use (CR123 3.6V) I have these problems. I have thought about getting some rechargeable 3.0V CR123's to hopefully fix this but I'm not sure exactly which ones I'd need for the GLV-2. Can someone tell me why this is happening and what I can do to fix this?

Do you have a 5v or a 6v version? I use the 6v version, which has no resistor thing in the head unit. I run 2-3.0 batteries. I put 2-3.7v batteries in it and was popping cartos.

So it depends on what you ordered. 3.7's are ok IF there is a resistor (5v). Not so much with the 6v version.

I see where you say you have the 5v version, but look into the head unit to be sure

I will also copy this post for you on the GLV subforum so Jay will see it.

Is there any way I can get a pic of the inside of your GLV? Is there a resistor inside?..looks like a round small tube with stripes on it, cover in a black or red paint looking stuff. I think you have a 6v and that would be reason your burning cartos. You need 3.v rechargeable batteries, if this is the case. You can always send it back and let me look at it as well. It really sounds like you have a 6v head cap tho.

Thanks Elendil
