I bought that CVS stuff and just had a strange feeling about it... I mean, if you're already ordering stuff online and what not... just buy some from a vendor and be done with it.. I picked up a grip of VG and PG for close to nothing.

Remember people, this is going into our lungs... a place that is probably damaged from other things we used to put in them right? Makes sense to just spend the extra dough for a piece of mind. I mean, I'm sure it's fine.. but since there are so many conflicting opinions about it, I'll just spend the money.

Hmmm I am pretty sure Glycerin and VG ( Vegetable glycerin) are the exact same thing. They both are emolients, both are USP, both have the same instructions on bottle that say they can be used on the skin or you can take a teaspoon if you have a sore throat.

When I went to the pharmacy counter and asked for vegetable glycerin, the pharmacist gave me a bottle of 500ml Glycerin. No indication of VG or Vegetable on the bottle.

Actually I am looking for a 100% vegetable glycerine that doesn't have a bad taste, from a reputable company that ships to canada ? Anyone knows where I could grab this?

Nevermind... grabbed some up form Nicvape.... I have been told it's real good :)

I think everything from Nicvape is real good.:thumb:

Just another FYI.....I emailed HUMCO about this yesterday....here is their reply....

Humco brand Glycerin is a vegetable-based product.

Thanks,

Alan Fyke

Opportunity favors preparation.

Now with this said....just as there are those with PG allergies, there are some that are sensitive to VG as well....an it does include digestive symptoms......

There should not be any glycerin based in animal fats any longer not since the mid 1980's. It is either from vegetable or petroleum.

You are correct there are two type of glycerin. I'd suggest staying with Vegetable Glycerin USP. The label will say Glycerin USP and it only needs to be 99.7% in concentration. The remainder is H20 and other minor elements.

I would also make sure as a double check that it is Kosher. Kosher products have a OU copyright stamp (U with a circle around it). Kosher means a rabbi came out to the plant where it was packaged and has witnessed the entire packaging process. If someone misrepresents a Kosher product they are breaking copyright laws, so stick with the Kosher stamped product for Glycerin (As well as Propylene Glycol USP)

I found one site that has it www.VegetableGlycerin.com. They have repackaged glycerin and USP Kosher grades of PG and VG. I think they ship to Canada as well. They have a online sales consultant listed on the site. :p
