For me it would depend on how far along I am in my progression to becoming a “former” nicotine user.

I’m approaching 1 month analog free, but am still at 24 strength on my e-cig. I plan to slowly cut down on the nicotine.

If there were no possibility of getting my nicotine via e-cigs, then at the present time I most likely would either go to a patch or back to analogs. Hopefully a few months from now when I’m nicotine free, I would just buy a case of pencils to munch on.

I never smoked haha, but I never minded people who did. I am a supporter of allowing smoking in all areas of bars and designated areas in restaurants and workplaces.

That reminds me of something I was wondering about the other day; when we go to restaurants, are we going to start being asked "Will that be vaping, or non-vaping"? LOL

moonlitharley Congratulations on your one month anniversary! After over two years cigarette free, there is NO way I would consider inhaling the smoke of burning tobacco again - did that for way too many years. I no longer like the taste or smell of them. If all vaping supplies were gone and I was truly experiencing withdrawal, I'd grab some Snus.

The best to you!

Well today is one month since iv smoked! I was curious does anyone whos been vaping long time think if suddenly all vaping supplyies were gone and you could no longer vape would you go back to smoking?

It seems that the majority of members posting here are still hooked on nicotine. I believe that most would resort to analogs again despite some comments. I have been vaping for 8 months, the last 6 of which have been nic-free. But smoking is really two habits, not just one. There is the nicotine addiction, and then there is the physical addiction. I am referring to the actual process of smoking (or vaping, for that matter.) If we could no longer vape, some of those that have kicked the nic would still be drawn back to smoking because they crave the physical act of smoking or vaping.

Being honest with myself, I would probably go back to cigs eventually. I might do it kicking and screaming, but I would do it none the less.

Congratulations on your one month marker!
I use to have the urges at the beginning, then I got in to the habbit of restocking my vaping supplies before they even had the chance to run out.

Yeah, I probably would but I am stocking up on liquids, flavorings, unflavored liquid, a.s.o. so if they ever ban liquids or tax them to new heights, I'll be set for a little while. I have not kicked the nic habit, still at 18-24 mg, so if it all went away, I'd probably wouldn't have a choice but to go back.... YUCK! :vapor:

I'd like to think even in the hypothetical scenario where the FDA fired the magical raygun that vaporized all vaporizers, I'd still be able to stay off the stinkies permanently. This forum has taught me a lot more than just vaping. I'm now armed with a lot more information about reduced risk products and about the true chances of success and drawbacks of the FDA approved quitting methods. My goal would be a cold turkey quit, but when I stumbled the information I've discovered here would be a huge help.

I also think in that hypothetical scenario I'd have plenty of "quitting fuel". Before vaping, my longest cold turkey quits were sustained by anger - I got my mind into a state where every craving came accompanied with anger at myself for letting myself get into such a sad, addicted state, and that helped me fight off the craving. If I were forced to give up vaping, my anger next time around would be externalized towards BP and the FDA, and no matter how stressed I might get, I'd never be ready to cut them any slack for literally trying to kill me to make a buck. I think that anger would be enough quit fuel to sustain me.
