Everyone,

This is my first day going from 18mg to 12mg.

I must admit that honestly so far, his seems too easy. I'm almost suspicious that I got a bottle of 18 labeled 12. I'm still getting throat hit and I'm vaping maybe just a little more, hard to tell it's so early yet, but this is really easy!!

I don't want to tempt fate but after a week or two, I'm thinking of going to 6 or 8. If I have the higher nic laying around I may use it in an "emergency".

Unlike some others, my goal is to get to zero. I started at 36 mg almost two months ago but couldn't give up the analogs right away, that took a while. I've recently been on 24 and then 18. When I first started I would fiend these things hard but I feel I'm well past that. This is my first day on 12mg. and it just seems too easy.

Has this an easy transition for many of you?

I started at 36 and went down to zero nic pretty fast myself but when life got stressful I added some nic again, I'm at about 8 now, I have still use the zero nic during the day but use some 8 in the mornings and evenings. It works like a charm for me :)
I never wanted to quit smoking 4 packs a day but after trying this I liked it better, it'll be 1 year Oct 1rst for me.

You smoked four packs a day!! Wow, I was at 2 1/2 sometimes 3. Four packs would be a heavy day for me (usually would have drinks involved) and I would feel terrible in the mornings. Congratulations on your one year anniversary!!!

I'm glad to see that this is common, I really started to worry that maybe they slipped an 18 in there and hoped I wouldn't notice. No reason to go backwards, I'm going to 8 in a couple of weeks.

Thanks!

Unlike me haha.. I am stuck at 4. I also found 18 to 12 to be a fairly easy drop. The TH is still decent, flavor may get a bit better. That's a 33% drop. The next drop is almost a 50% drop but I used cartomizers by then so on a Saturday I put away the 12mg juices and brought out the 6mg and just started topping off my 12mg cartos with 6 instead of 12. So that spread the drop over about a week. That was a pretty large drop in TH. I bought a 3.7v fat-battery system so I could use hotter LR cartomizers if I needed to get more hit out of it. I am currently vaping mostly 4mg and some 0mg.

I just started Friday using 24 mg and it seems to be working for me, after over 40 yrs of smoking at least a pack a day and sometimes more. I have had some urges aespecially when around other people who were smoking but been able to control. Think I'll stick with 24 another week or two then try 18.

~Marta~ Congrats on your 1 year! That is way cool :D

I used 24 mg for my first 5 months or so, then decided to drop it straight down to 12mg. It was pretty uneventful, however even though I lowered the nic content, I was vaping twice as much in quantity.

My body knew what was up, and just had me vaping more.

With that said, I still prefer 12, with some 18 to 24 on hand for those times you need a little more punch.

I am wondering how many who make it to 0mg end up quitting altogether. But I suppose they aren't here to answer that.

I started at 18mg and it was getting me nicotine sick because I was vaping so much. Quick drop to 12mg and I've been there for 9 months. Once in a while I "sneak" some 18mg or 24mg I have around for a rush.

I've been hesitant to try and go lower since this is working. We seem to have plenty of 0 or low, low nic users around, so maybe you don't necessarily quit.

We should have a sticky thread for people to post on when they quit vaping altogether. You never know if they quit nic completely or went back to cigarettes. I can't imagine hanging around here would be good for you if you were trying to totally quit vaping.

I get nic sick if I vape too much 12mg.
I have some nice zero for those times.

I've read people on this board that claim they vape 36mg nic almost continuously and have been professionally tested and results showed they are just barely above the minimum threshold for having detectable nic in their system. So. . .I wonder how much of the symptoms people experience are really all in their minds. Doesn't really matter for them though. . .if it's "in their mind", it's in their mind. That's their experience and they have every right to it. My endeavor is to not "bull.... myself". I can describe to others my experiences, equipment, methods, & Niquid(s). But, their personal experience, everything being equal. . .may be entirely different. This is truly an "roll your own" endeavor. JMHO

Suppose it could be mental but when I vape 12mg all day w/ powerful DC I feel overload.
I can vape CE2 at 12mg all day w/o feeling overload.

emus,
No harm, no foul. Mine not directed at anybody in particular just in general. Just coincidence mine after yours. I believe you. The shocking thing I found out, and the point of the string that held that info, was that PV's are not a great method for getting nic into our system. Far as I'm concerned, I care little what the numbers say. . .in my mind. . .I'm getting all I need to not have to use tobacco ciggs anymore. For the last 8 month anyway. JMHO

hyjack done.
