I'll jump on the FAH-Q Canada Post bandwagon, I'm waiting on a package from Health Cabin that was shipped as per Health Cabins website and CP blackberry app on Tuesday July 31st. The only message I've seen and see is ("International item has left the origin country and is en route to Canada"). Not a huge order, its only my empty cartomizers, clearomizers, 901 Atty, empty bottle, unflavored PG & VG etc.... So nothing too important, especially with 9 flavourings, 7 new juices and 50/50 24mg unflavored liquid waiting to be touched lol.

When I ordered (when they had their 3rd anniversary sale back in May) the tracking was a little slow. It got scanned at customs in and out. Then 4 business days later I had a card telling me to pick it up at the post office.

My 1st Health Cabin order took just over a week to get here, which I expect from this order. It's just the fact their so slow updating the their tracking feature, it could take 3 weeks to get here, I just like seeing advancement in the shipping lol. I know a small nitpick but I figure if they can cut services and raise wages and prices, I should be able to get grrrrr lol...

Also on my 1st order it send in transit from Vancouver as I was signing for my package, so I know everybody is as sharp as a dull pencil broke off and filed flat love,

Finally got mail today, 3 separate packages from three different locations across north America all ordered and shipped at least 4 days apart arrived all on the same day.

I did call the 800# early Friday and report that the postwoman in our area had been AWOL since Tuesday and that the people on this route would really appreciate getting their mail.

9:30am there was a ding ding at my door, what a beautiful Site when I opened the door (well not the deliveryperson lol) but what he held in his hands, a box addressed to me from over the sea lol. Thank you Canada Post for getting back to work after your extended holiday weekend rather promptly, its here before the weekend and that's all that matters!

Well that and the fact my wife's colourfully designed 650mA battery is here, that's the only thing she has researched and wanted on her own and made sure I knew it and tracked it like a hawk, but she is more then happy and that makes me happy lol.

While I know I may get flamed for posting about the "poor" C.P. workers, they've been without a contract for over a year now. That wouldn't make any one of us happy if the shoe were on the other foot.

While I have no idea of the issues at hand, it may or may not all boil down to cash, but may involve C.P. wanting to use migrant workers or cutting pension benefits or something, wouldn't that be a kick in the head
for service, a bunch of old posties that can't retire when they want to.

Just sayin'

It's the unions, not the employees that are the problem, at least in my eyes.

I have nothing against employees of any company, unionized or not (except the lazy ones) but I'm sure the rest of the world wouldn't mind making $20+/hr as well. My only beef in this thread is about updating their tracking time, I've had no other problems with CP regarding anything to do with Vaping.

It's the unions ?!? Every collective agreement in this country has a clause called "Management Right", it usually comes right after the "Recognition of the Bargaining Agent" clause. Grab any collective agreement and have a read through the management rights clause some day. It'll make your jaw drop.

Having studied labour relations in Canada I can tell you that wherever there are 'issues' in a workplace (read "dysfunctional") is when management is weak or ineffectual at carrying out it's responsibilities in the bilateral agreement. Two parties sat down to bargain and two parties signed the agreements.

Unions don't run roughshod over employers, employers have poor or ineffectual management practices.

BTW I'm not unionized, I'm represented by an Association, big difference but the reasons for "dysfunction" are for the same reasons.

Sorry .... didn't mean to go postal on ya CDNClouds just hate hearing unions get blamed all the time. It's management, not the unions. If they managed effectively they wouldn't have the problems.

Go postal all you like, as long as this discussion stays civil I will listen to whatever anyone has to say about this topic!

I have never worked for an union before but have had multiple family members that have lost their jobs due to unions "doing what's best", I'm also not saying ALL unions are bad but when the customer/employee is the one paying the price for an argument between the two sides, I have issues with that (I know you said association not union, no worries lol).

I also have never worked for an association before but at one job we tried to get an association in and not an union, Northfield Metal Products was the factory. We had an extremely inept management so I do understand the f'd up management aspect of things.

Unions may not run roughshod and management may not know their fingers from their toes but they each feed off one another. The more one flinchs, the more the other advances and vice versa.

Thank you for recognizing that I was being civil :)

That would need some 'splaining'. I refer you back to "Management Rights" clauses. Unions don't run businesses, management does. Case in point would be the Caterpillar (Electro-Motive Canada) fiasco. Management (and management alone) made the decision to move their operations elsewhere.

Unions may not run roughshod and management may not know their fingers from their toes but they each feed off one another. The more one flinchs, the more the other advances and vice versa.

All the power is with management and all the worker has is his/her work. Strikes occur because that is all the worker can do against decisions management make (that they don't like or disagree with) and lock-outs occur when management wants to punish workers for not agreeing with the decisions it wants to take.

You bring up a great point projectguy, as management can be inept, so can a unions leadership. At least in a union it's members can toss out those inept leaders and that only occurs if the membership is strong and participates.

It's like when people that complain the loudest about government always seem to be the ones that never vote. They shouldn't have the right to voice an opinion if they don't vote.

Time to start our own post office after all we do send vape mail, don't we? I wonder If we could get with a company that we could come to an arrangement with? Get all canadian suppliers to use one specific delivery / courier company i.e., UPS, etc. 1. Get their management educated as to what we ship, and
2. Get a special fee structure

Now there's a thought.

Why should we the consumers be ringing our hands about getting our devices and juices delivered???

Why shouldn't our Canadian Suppliers, get that association we keep hearing about, in gear and figure out a way to make sure that when we, the consumer:

  1. [a)] pay for our merchandise in advance sight unseen
    [b)] assume all risks for late and or lost and or stolen merchandise, and;
[c)] the cost, pain and aggrivation of returning merchandise

Find a better way of getting our stuff to us????? I keep hearing of stories where everyone raves about how good Juggy's service is why can't the rest of the industry work to find a way to make that the standard?

Nothing personal its just business.
