Frankly I find the iTaste vv3 to be one of the very best available, in the lower price range. And even 50/50 is very thick juice; if you get rid of one or both of the flavor wicks and try it, you may find the problem is solved. THEN you can worry about what battery to get. All the battery does is power the thing; the quality of the vape is determined by what's on top.

Here's something to consider trying if your up to it and don't mind trying it. I too was having burnt taste at anything above 3.7v using PT2 tanks and stock 1.8 atties that measured 2.0.. Give rebuilding a try. It's not too hard, and after doing two for my two tanks on different flavors I've been able to up voltage quite a bit. Improving vapor AND flavor using the same vv/vw batts.

It my seem daunting at first, but it's well worth a try. May end up saving you money as well..

That's true, but I think the adventure into rebuilding is kinda like trying to get someone to try e-cigs in the first place... they have to really want to! ;)

It's not really even the rebuilding itself that seems to help, it's in getting the right kind and amount of wick, but, the stock coils have such a small inner diameter, it may be necessary to build your own coils with a larger inner diameter in order to get the right kind/amount of wick into the coil.

But, since I a) learned to rebuild my T3S coils, and b) started using *the right amount* of hollow braided ekowool to wick them, I haven't had a dry hit/burnt taste, and I'm turning my Sigelei up to 8w, and can even go to 8.5w if I feel the need, though mostly I don't -- good coils and good wick seem to provide an excellent vape even without turning it up so much.

Try the variable wattage feature, instead. MVP2 is going to last longer, but essentially works the same. I LOVE my little Itastes, beats the hell out of any battery of that size.

It does sound like a wicking issue, not the battery.

dont see how its a wick issue if switch them out regularly in and they all seem the same .

Because your juice is so thick that apparently standard coils/wicks can't wick it. 50/50 is still quite thick. When we say thin, we mean at least 75% PG, or even more -- my regular is 85% PG. So of course I have to deal with leaks if I don't wick it properly. They can't possibly make a wick that will work for every juice everywhere, there are too many variations. So the user has to customize to suit their own needs.

That's the point - they're all the same, so give the same problems.

Take a new coil, wiggle off the chimney and remove one or both flavor wicks. Replace the chimney and silicon cup, and try that. Less flavor wick will allow more juice flow to the main wick and coil, and may help.

I would but these coils are difficult there a wick coil at top and 2 flavor wicks under that then another wick coil

I would have to say that there's your problem -- dual coils. I can't stand 'em; they burn the juice, they burn my lips, they just suck. I'm completely at a loss to explain why so many people seem to love them, because I can't get anything vapable out of them. I'm sure that's why I hated the Nautilus, the dual coils, and the dual-coil carto I tried also sucked, for the same reason -- burns the juice, burns my lips. It's just too dang hot!

Well I have no idea if that's true; the PT III comes with a dual coil, and replacement coils for it are dual coil. About the minis, I don't know, except the PT II mini is single coil; I have one of those myself. For the Aerotank, I have no idea, though I suspect it's a dual coil also, since it's kinda Kanger's answer to the Nautilus, and that would mean its replacement coils are dual too.

If you're rebuilding coils, and know how to use a single instead of a dual in a dual-coil tank, then sure, I guess anything is possible. But what you can buy for dual coil tanks are stock dual coils; I don't think you can mix 'n match the stock coils. Especially not between the single-coil tanks and the dual-coil tanks.

If something says "uses Protank/Evod/Universal coils" then it's single coil, and you can use those kinds of coils in them -- like the Hypertank and Hypertank II for example. If it says "uses PT III coils" then it's dual coil. I suppose it's possible to try and mix 'n match, but I have no idea what the result would be. T3S's are single coil, but as far as I know, you can't use the Protank/Evod/Universal in them, they have their own coils, and those are also usable in the MT3S.

Hope that's helpful, in any way; the only dual-coil tank I've ever bought was the Nautilus, and I absolutely hated it; the airflow made it so cool at first I couldn't tell I was getting anything, then it would suddenly get so hot I'd have to yank it away quick or burn my lips; it also changed the taste of my favorite ejuice drastically, so that I didn't even like it anymore. Dual-coil cartos also suck, they just taste burned, and make the juice taste burned. Other than that, I have no experience with dual coils -- and don't want anymore! :D

Get a better atomizer than what you are using. The VV3 is a surprisingly good device.

A buddy of kine uses one with a Kayfun. Works as well with anything else.

There are only 2 things I can ding the VV3
- low battery life
- not the most rugged device out there.

But being a pen type that all comes with the territory. Now if you want a better device for that reason I dont blame you.

I know I wont make any friends by saying this,
But compared to what is available today you will find Protanks and Vivis lacking no matter what you put them on.

YES you can use the single coils in the areo tanks for sure...so I ASSUME you can the Protank3 as well.........work fine.....better actually. Saw a youtube video on it last night....on a demo of the areotanks. ( mini and regular )

For the burning issue, there is a way to fix it. I learned that by googling it long ago:
there is a plastic cap on top of the coil. Take it out and and put it back upside down. The edges will look up not to the bottom of the coil. It seems to prevent juice to fill a lot in to the wick. By doing it you will have more juice on the wick. I don't have any leaks and it stopped the burnt taste on PT2. But it's your call.
