Have you tried busbars? My daughter was just sold those. I’m disappointed in myself for trusting these shmucks!
Mooch has tested these, and they were actually an excellent battery!

HOWEVER, since Sub Ohm Industries is an aftermarket (rewrapper) company, they can change the cell they use at any point in time. The could replace the better cell with a lesser cell.

Depends on how mean-spirited and/or stupid the shop is. If they rewrap batteries themselves and sell them as eg LG HG2 they're committing fraud, if they buy cheap from untrusted sources they're stupid.
If you don't know any shop well enough to be able to trust them then better buy from trusted online shops.

Not to sound stupid but if I go to a shop that has these, what are the odds they are just rewrapped and how would I know?
Realistically, all bets are off if you buy from a vape shop. Odds are favorable that the shop owner doesn't really know if they are authentic or counterfeit, although I assure you he will tell they are authentic.

As I and others will tell you, your best odds to buy authentic LG, Samsung, or Sony's are to order online from the recommended online shops in my previous post.

The problem is where I live the vape shops are actually homemade juice stores with no hardware and the smoke shops are the ones that sell the pipes, bongs, cigarettes and vaping supplies. I have yet to find a real vape shop like the ones where I used to live.
Your best option, again, is to buy from the trusted vendors online that we have posted.

Do you have a credit card or debit card? You'll get your batteries in 3 - 4 days, and most will throw in a free plastic battery case.

BUY ONLINE FROM A TRUSTED VENDOR. There is 0% chance of knowing, in a vape shop, and especially the type you describe, that you will receive authentic batteries. I order from IMRbatteries.com, better prices than a vape shop and I usually receive them within 1--2 days. Batteries are ONE THING that it is extremely unwise to buy from a vape shop, especially the ones around you.

This answer isn't going to change..... No matter how many times you repeatedly ask it.

Trust me, you want authentic batteries, buying from a TRUSTED vendor who receives batteries directly from the safe, authentic manufacturer is the only way to go (and its cheaper).

Best of luck

The odds are 50/50 at best; you pays your money, you takes your chances. You've been offered many good suggestions, in many ways, by many different people. Evaluate what you have learned and make your choice.

I'd say the odds are more like 99% to 1%, honestly. I guess if you can SPOT and IDENTIFY what looks like authentic whatevers in a vape shop and you genuinely know what they look like? Well, you are buying something that comes in a WRAP. It's not unusual for vape shops to buy "failed" QC batteries on the cheap from manufacturers, so you could equally get a battery that has just failed quality control, although usually the manufacturers don't wrap those, although they do SELL them... To rewrappers.

The best way to increase battery safety is for NO VAPER to buy batteries from anywhere but trusted vendors, and they will have to up their game, and/or stop selling batteries.

Don't contribute to the problem. You've been educated. You do it, you are doing a disservice to vapers EVERYWHERE, especially if you run into a BAD problem, and some lawyer shows up wanting you to sue the vape shop.

You have been EDUCATED.

Sorry to sound cranky, but there is a very very simple solution, called buying authentics from reputable suppliers. Mooch doesn't battery test for FUN. He doesn't battery educate for no reason. He does it for the safety of all vapers everywhere. Including you.

Funny so I contacted my vape shop from back home and he said that they are no longer allowed to purchase batteries from Samsung, Lg, etc. They used to carry them but he said since lawsuits the company refuses to sell directly to vape stores. Anyways I’ll get them online. Thank you all.

Wow. I didn’t realize I was contributing to a problem. I asked a question and received multiple answers that were mostly similar. I took that advice and will purchase online from a reputable supplier. I did not reply sooner as with 4 Kids and a busy day I didn’t have a chance to thank people earlier on and end the conversation. I have now been educated on thread etiquette and will keep my phone closer to stop repeat answers sooner. Hail to the vape gods.

It wasn't your lack of answer that prompted the post, but the fact that you asked the same question multiple times, but if you were trying to clarify, I apologize. Like I said, I didn't mean to come off as harsh, just concerned. My apologies if my tone was more cranky than I realized. Anyway, I'm glad you purchased from a safe vendor. My apologies?

I messaged you privately to avoid continuing this in the public view.
