Good, cheap camera for classies?

Got some stuff to sell and my phone takes pictures that look great -- if you're 90 and have astigmatism. So I'm thinking I should pick something up.

Now, I never take pictures. I had a little camera I got as a gift a long time ago that was great, but the gift was given to me by an ex who got a little vindictive when she left, and took my camera with her. And my car. And a few credit cards. But am I bitter? No, I've moved on. Mostly.

But I digress. I need a camera. Preferably a cheap one -- I'll probably never use it except for classifieds -- with a half-way decent macro capability for those close-up shots, that'll make the stuff I want to sell look really good and make me lots and lot of money. 'Cuz, you know, I really need it after that ex. But still not bitter, not me!

Any suggestions?

Have you tried increasing the light source? I was annoyed that my ipad takes TERRIBLE grainy pictures - until I took one outside - there it worked great. Might be the same issue with your phone.

Thanks, but it's not just light in my case. My phone cam sports the only non-autofocusing lens I've seen since around 1998. Makes for some pretty bad pics most of the time, even under the best light. It's pretty awful.
