I was listening to the radio the other day, an ad came on that sounded a lot like the Smoke Assassin ads ... melodramatic, terrible 'acting' etc ... it was called " Smoker's Savior " . Wow. So I went to the website.

Smoker's Savior - Tobacco, Nicotine and Tar FREE

Do these people ever stop trying to peddle thier overpriced crap? I myself find these guys pretty funny, but its sorta bad cause somebody might actually be taken in by it...

It's not funny to me, and I think some pretty odd things are funny :
What they're doing might be good business for them, heck that's a pretty huge markup on carts, but geez. At least some of the people that fall for that eventually find their way here and they're just that much happier to be here after having done that ;)

I agree. After seeing a comparable ad on an online tobacco site and then hearing an ad on the radio I decided to look into e-cigs.. I wound up here and purchased my first 510 kit. The rest is history!

They may be very overpriced but that covers their advertising costs as well. Those ads may help others decide to research e-cigs.

Oh my god - did you read the fine print on their "Super Savior Club"?
This is horrible:

enroll into our Super Savior Club, where you will receive 20 flavor filters per month for $79.95 plus 12.95 S&H.

WOW - So I can get 20 carts a month for $92.90?

What a deal!
That's only about $82.90 MORE than it should cost.
Wow.
What a racket.

Makes me feel bad for those who get sucked in... and makes me thankful for the great community here who kept me from getting sucked in to something like that.

Sometimes I fear this is all just too good to be true...
I quit analogues immediately after 19 years at 25-30per day...
I love vaping...
Supplies are so bountiful and affordable.
It's exciting really.

I hope all the competition keeps prices relatively affordable... I'd hate to live in a world where 20 carts cost me $80+/-

I told them I was going to buy from them until I read this post. Here is their reply.

Dear Customer,

These people on this blog know nothing of the E-Cig industry. Our product is a high quality product manufactured in a FDA certified Lab. Most all E-Cig filters and components come from China. So yes you can find it much cheaper, but you have no idea what your getting and what you are ingesting. Personally, I would not ingest or inhale anything that is made in china. So before you by from anyone, find out if its make in an FDA certified Lab and if ingredients are made in the U.S.

A coworker of mine wanted to go through Smoker's Savior to get started on vaping. I talked him out of it quickly. I told him that not only is it insanely overpriced, but they continue to charge your credit card monthly even though you ask them to stop. Some people have literally had to threaten legal action to get them to stop billing their card every month.

I ended up ordering everything he needed from v4l and cigeasy for about 40 bucks less than the Smoker's Savior scam.

I just hope that people stay away from that place and their shady business tactics.

Garyd - I probably wouldn't bother writing them back... but if you do, I would ask them what exactly they had to do to get their lab "FDA certified" (I'm pretty certain that means absolutely nothing). I would also ask where there lab is, and where their e-cigs are manufactured.

As far as inhaling things that come from China, personally I agree with them (though many here will disagree), and that is why I buy e-liquid that's made in the USA (or mix my own).

Point is - they are simply trying to use scare tactics to get you to spend WAY too much money for no good reason.

Make no mistake - they are ripping people off.
There are many reputable sellers based in the USA that have reasonable prices. Nevermind the fact that most sellers won't try to rope you into this auto-charge monthly model.

Just my 2 cents.

EDITED TO ADD:
Just realized you probably wrote them just to get a response... thought you were actually considering buying from them for a minute there.
:)
