Google ohm's law.

Though, I vape around 17-20 watts daily and don't burn things. You don't want to saturate your wick either as flooding can be just as bad. I would say the best thing to do is to watch a few videos and read up on how to drip. It may seem simple but there actually is a slight learning curve with dripping properly. I went 3 months trying to drip the way I thought it was done and had the same issues you describe before my friend intervened and set me straight. Best of luck to ya! :vapor:

Well, with the vapor alley, they only have the 1.8, and since my battery may be faulty, I probably wanna stick with 2.5 or higher. Also, someone reviewed them and said three in a row burnt up on him... is the 30-second wait period what may be doing this?

A-ER maybe you should be worrying about getting a new battery instead of getting an atomizer... just sayin'

    So strange story:

I let my burnt up dripping atty soak in water all after noon, let it dry all evening. I drop a few drops in it, figure hey, why not. I try to vape it for about 30 seconds. Sucking it stoutly, pressing the button without inhaling a few times, nada, no vapor. I figure hey, the coil is probably blown. But then... right when I'm about to give up, all the sudden I get a wisp of actually sweet tasting vapor from an atty that had burned everything I previously put in it. I keep huffing and performing all sorts of lude acts that Bill Clinton would enjoy, and all the sudden, I'm getting an ok-ish amount of vapor, but most of all, what's there actually tastes sweet! It's the GJ4, and I could taste traces of sweet carmelization. No burnt taste. I shined a flashlight into the atty and the coil looks as fried as KFC chicken, but for some reason, for better or worse, it's working now in some amounts where it was like vaping a fire earlier.

I believe I soaked it in my distilled water (forgot), but somehow, it helped. Who knows though, it might go back to tasting like a fire in a few minutes.

From everything I've read here OP it seems like it's not your attys or your batteries but your juice. From the information you've given it sounds like your juice is gunking things up quickly. This leads me to ask, are you using a super sweet juice &/or a high VG juice? These types of juices gunk up an atty really quickly & easily.

I don't use these types of juices, but from what I've read from some people who have you have to clean your atty a lot more frequently to avoid having juice gunk up your wick. Once the wicking is gunked up everything will taste like that burnt gunk & not like you want it to taste like. Since you said that after cleaning your atty with distilled water it tastes better I'm thinking this is your problem.

If you want to continue to use the juice you're using you need to have a few attys so you can change them out & clean them often. Also, I would definitely go with a bridgeless atty simply to have less wicking to gunk up. But your best atty for this type juice would be an RDA so you can build the coil yourself & change out the wicking often. If you use an RDA your wicking can more easily be replaced (using cotton) and you can quickly clean your coil, dry burn, rewick & get back to vaping.
