I really hate having to ban people, but it has to be done when people are breaking our rules.
I banned 4 people today I think... Cpl Wasnt even on my radar to ban until he had a go at me...another american...
GoodNews was also banned
It's unfortunate that you decided to throw that bathwater out with the weirdo-nutso-metal ion crazed baby. People were only there to tell you "I told you so." And you could have rounded the wagons and decided to ignore him as that suits you, but you would have learned with time that that would not have been an effective approach either. Remember - the only reason GN showed up on YOUR forum was because he was suspended HERE for a reason, and couldn't stand to be without an audience for a week. Then he violated TOS again and was banned. Also, not something the mods here do willy nilly either.

You see the problem was this though... NOT A SINGLE person who came over from ECF reported this guy to us. They didn't use the "Support" tab to the right and inform a single Admin or Mod about previous issues with this guy. They came onto the forum guns blazing, even after being reminded several times that it wasn't appreciated or wanted.
POTV had NO problem letting GN post his posts, as it allowed our members the ability to analyze, criticize, and advise based on what he was posting.
What we do have a problem with, is a group of people going out on a witch hunt, onto our forum under the guise of "protecting the masses from misinformation" when that was not what it was about at all, the people who came over only had one thing in mind and that was to be abusive to another person.
While it might have had noble intentions, it was unneeded, unwanted, and it ended up getting a bunch of people banned and not because of GN, but because of their own behavior.
I'd say don't take it personally, I was just showing solidarity with my fellow vapers. But you did call me a redneck....

I lived out west for plenty of years and have my share of cattle branding and horse riding under my belt I also dont take half of what is said under the protection of the internet personally

You know, just for that, every time I have something good to share, I'm going to preface it with something like this, "GoodNews! My tests came back negative from the clinic!"
LOL.. it won't affect me but I would like the chatter about GN stopped in here. Also, I know you guys had the best intentions at heart, but not every forum appreciates a swarm of users showing up at their doorstep causing a ruckus over another user. KMS is right, somebody should have had the fortitude to give the admins a heads-up over there.
NuVapor is used to seeing disgruntled ECF members show up there, and it adds to their drama counter as well as their member list so, they happily accept folks moving or joining there. POTV just proved that they are different in that aspect. Please do not criticize or ostracize them for taking that action.

That is a weak argument. GN was at your site well before we got there. Your members attacked him first, under the guise of "...is an example of a personal attack and will not be tolerated here." Your member called him the "C" word well before we even started in on him. We tried to help him at first.
As far as warnings given, I didn't see any until the end, and your members were attacking him at that point as well. So don't put the blame all on us.
If we wanted to abuse him, we would have done that from the start. We didn't do that. We tried to help him from the start. Your people started abusing him hardcore first.
Something you may not have had the chance to see as you were suffering from tunnel vision...personal attacks, belittling someone, is not something we allow on POTV. Anyone of the regular members on POTV will back me up on that as well. It is simply something we do not tolerate. Yeah, people get frustrated and will snipe at one another, but you won't find other forum members in droves, attacking someone like you and your friends did.
The small handful of our regular members who were involved are well aware that it is not something we will continue to allow to happen. Had this happened during hours when most our Admin or Mods weren't asleep, it wouldnt have made it past the 1st page.
As for the warnings, there were several threads I had to close down and issue warnings in prior to the one from last night. If you tried to help this member on ECF and failed, you had no reason to come over to POTV and try to help him again. However, your intentions on POTV were NOT to help this person, but to cause trouble and you succeeded in doing so. Stop playing the nobility card, you and I both know what you were doing.
Later when I posted, YOU sought out my post and felt necessary to attack me and the forum. You wrongly assumed I was British, a Man, and that POTV was anti American. Im sorry, but I am American, a Woman, and hardly think a forum helped run by an American is going to be Anti-American. I'll give a miss on the other deplorable crap you said too.

Then again if it was inappropriate for them to go over there and stir up stuff I personally think it is inappropriate for you to come into this thread to continue to chastise the people involved. As I see it although the severity is different the principal is the same. They are not children. You handed them their punishment and they get to live with the consequences. Nothing is served by continuing it here.
Maybe Dusty is right, and it's time to move on. I hoped this thread would evolve into just a fun place for some new friends to hang out, talk vaping, but not have to have a specific topic like in the other forums. Maybe have a little fun too... Thoughts on something like that? At the end of the day, GoodNews is still BadNews, but he doesn't have to ruin all of our days any more. Thoughts?
Thanks sonic...I'm more than upset by her comments here. I'm sure us babies can start another lounge thread to drink...ahem...hang out in with each other. With all of the other threads in the lounge, I highly doubt ours is the worst.
