A Vamo doesn't give you taste, it provides power. What attachments are you using? Also - the Evic settings are not completely accurate in watts mode, see here, scroll down the page to see the test results:
Mountain Prophet Evic

So you may need to adjust the watts on the Vamo. I've not heard of anyone else who owns both these pvs having an issue like this.

Edit: If you are getting a metal taste with RBAs you have a short. It's nothing to do with the Vamo - you need to adjust your coils. They need to be pulsed starting at low voltage and adjusted until there are no shorts. The lead off the last coil is showing a hotspot - which means you have a short. That's why you are getting a metal taste.
You'll find info and help in the rebuildable Atomizers sub-forum:

I know that it is a short but putting that same aga on my evic it fires it smooth and perfect. Plus i notice after letting off the button of the vamo it continues to fire for a sec. As far as ohm readings though they both show the same between tanks. Ok so now i turned the watts down to 5 and it seems fine but for that same taste i need 7ish on the evic.

Some pvs do fire after release. That doesn't cause a metal taste. I have a Vamo and use vivi novas and RBAs fine with it. The only time I've had a metal taste was when I had a short on a coil.
Work your coil like I said in the post above. You've already said you can see a hotspot on the coil. Lots of people use RBAs with Vamo fine - but your coil needs to be free of shorts.

Also make sure the vamo is set to NO2 its less accurate in NO1 to make the change hold either plus or minus button for about 15 seconds untill it changes the vamo fires higher than set when in NO1 mode and mine also fires for about half a sec after released its normal as long as it doesnt continue for more than a second its ok

Its just messed up that i can fire the evic at 7.5 watts perfect on the aga that reads 2.5ohm, then stick it on the vamo at same watts and it burns but if i turn it down to 5.5 watts it is perfect just like the evic. So the site you posted makes sense, i havent read it all but quickly looked through it and ya it seems to be so true. Damn joyetech.

And i had the vamo set correctly i think, cause from what i read no1 setting is default and recommended. It is now on no2 and not doing it.

No 2 is the recommended setting. No 1 is AVG and hits harder than the displayed setting. No 2 is RMS and is accurate - the output is the displayed setting.
There is a Vamo user manual here and its well worth reading it and going through the settings.
