Got my Ego-C LR Atty's in Today!

Hmm, when I'm not getting a foul tire taste, I'm getting very little flavor. This is a problem for me. I'm glad you folks are enjoying this thing, but as Riffy said, it's finicky, which isn't what I wanted coming from cartos. If it was fool proof, I would be willing give up some flavor. Problem is, this burnt taste is worse than anything I've ever had go wrong with cartomizers or carts, which both IMO give better flavor for my juices and I've tried 6 different flavors now.

I may buy some SR atties, but not unless they get cheaper. I won't be buying anymore eGo-C stuff at this point. I'm already back to using cartomizers, which I hate, but I'm relieved to be safe from the tire taste.

For my fruit/lighter flavors I use the SR atty head and a regular joye eGo batt (3.2/3.4v underload - the Riva is 3.7v) or the VV eGo set to 3.3v. Higher wattage does tend to wash out flavor. Perhaps you could pick up an joye eGo batt on classifieds and perhaps an SR c atty head.

Yeah, that is another thing. They really run my Riva battery down. After hrs on cartos, I can charge my Riva in less than a hr. After a few with the eGo-C and LR atty, it's taking two or three hours to charge.

That really shouldn't affect the charging. Each batt has a certain charging curve - it only gets depleted so far because of the protection circuit and that spot should be the same on any full discharging. (see batteryuniversity.com)...... but whatever

I'm just trying to find the best way to not get the dry burn. Other than that I'm loving it! The flavors are so much cleaner than on my go-go. I'm sure the LR atties will help with the little bit of flavor loss that there is. Didn't really have the $90 to buy it as it is so it'll be a month or so before I can get some LR atties. I keep ending up taking out the tip & bridge of the tank. I rarely get the dry burn then, but that leaves a big whole. The 3 condoms that come with the kit work but I don't see them sold anywhere.

I DIY my juices and I have some I've shelved for months that are just HORRIBLE on the go-go. On the ego-c they are great though. No weird after tastes or mixed in "other" tastes. I had the worst times with mostly juice flavors on the go-go. Guess what I've got in almost all 5 tanks now.... JUICE FLAVORS!!! hehe Cranberry, Lemon, Hawaiian Punch, Mountain Dew & Strawberry LOL. All but the dew sucked in the go-go. I even tried the cranberry & lemon on the go-go again today to make sure it wasn't steeped or nothing.... it just tastes so wrong in it still. The carts give it a weird chemical taste.

Long story short, I know to late, I'm loving it! I guess I'm not a cart lover after all. The flavor just beats the gocarts so much! Oh! It's also really consistent too. The gocarts were all over the place on vapor production & flavor on each one. The ego-c is the same every time I pop a tank in it with anything in it. That alone is worth it for me! Taste & consistency.

Riffy, you will definitely notice an increase in flavor using the LR's! Some have said that certain flavors perform better on the SR's, but for what I have been vaping, the LR shines every flavor. I'm talking across coffee, fruit and mint bases.. Ms T's Bananas Fosters Coffee is my goto flavor, and it is INCREDIBLE on the LR! Just recently cracked open some VaporBomb Mutt's Fire 'n' Ice, that had been steeping a week. OMG! I had been coming down w/ Vape throat w/ the temp changes hitting KC, and the Fire 'n' Ice has a great Menthol after vape to it! My buddy went through 30ml of it in 6 days, so I knew I would like it, but glad I steeped it out for a week. I've got some Tobacco flavors coming in from Mom and Pop. Gonna let them steep out a week or so.

If you are diggin fruit flavors, highly recomment Ms T's "New Watermelon". Not candy like at all. Just like you bit into a fresh slice.

So sorry you are suffering through your issues! But, it's really a strange one, because the majority that are using the "C"'s have experienced far less "Muss and Fuss" than any other setup out there. I think you should get a stock Ego Battery for those LR's, and see how that affects flavor. As for the burnt taste, that's usually associated to wicking issues. I've had a couple of the stock hard tank caps, that didn't pierce correctly, so they just didn't wick well (Burnt Taste). I immediately threw on one of the soft silicone replacement caps, and the tank immediately started wicking properly. Hope you get it figured out, because this has really been a good set up for me, and others here.

I'm way to broke right now to get em :-( but I'm glad to know that'll boost the flavor. I DIY my own liquids so it's not a big deal to just add a little more flavor to em. When I woke up this morning I was still shocked at how good my strawberry flavor was when I took a drag. I even did a double take, like what, really. The flavors were just never this clean on carts for me, and I still can't get over that.

I also can't believe I vaped as much as I did. I don't know if I vaped this much on my gogo or not since I could never tell with the carts how much was in em. I went threw almost 3ml yesterday and that's not even including all my taste tests I did. I'm down to 9-10mg of nic at least, but I didn't realize I vaped that much lol.

To bad Ms T's don't sell flavors. I hear a lot about how good they are. I have at least 14oz of 36mg base I cut into a 3rd then add the flavor. So I got a LOT of base still! Bought that in bulk Not to mention the tons of flavors I have mostly from perfumers apprentice. I love that site! With the tiny little tester bottles! Just wish they had more mixed flavors instead of just base flavors.

Oh I did forget to mention that to mjt, I use the soft caps too. I just figured they are easier to get on & off and didn't even try the hard caps, so didn't even think to mention that.

Riffy - This is very similar to what I have experienced with the C, much cleaner vape overall. There is really nothing on the C system to burn except the juice. The flavors of my favorite juices were like a re-awakening on the C after using standard carts and cartos. The flavors are fresh and clean.

The LR atty is a great complement to the C system. I am trying some Massive Chocolate Mint from AVE on the LR and the mint really goes another level on the LR!

I need to order some more cartos, does anyone sell the softcaps and Boges LR?. I would hate make an order for just softcaps from Ovale.

I really appreciate everyones help, if I had the cash I would have just ordered the kit. As it it, I'm almost out of juice too.

Will my existing Riva charger work on the eGo-C batt or would I need a new one.

mjt - I stand mine up sitting on the battery end. Gravity wicks a bit of juice down on the coil in between vapes. Hope you are having better luck!

I leave mine horizontal.... and have no problem vaping a new tank immediately.

When money permits, I will buy some of the softcaps, SR atties and new eGo battery. Which eGo battery does everyone recommend and do I need to order a new charger or will my Riva charger work? I assume most 510 chargers are fine, I just want to check.

I like the C battery. It is just a wee bit higher on voltage than the T or standard eGo battery but any of the eGo batteries should work. They are all regulated and will give a nice consistent vape. Ovale USA is also going to have the softcaps for the tanks in stock soon and has the SR atty heads for the C. I just noticed they now have a 1000 mAh C battery.

Your Riva charger should work for the eGo battery. My eGo charger has the following specs for comparison:
Input: DC 5V 500mA
Output; DC 4.2V 420mA

I prefer the 900 size and just an hour less than the 1000 but don't know if they'll have that in the C.... checking....

Kent C - Interesting that Joyetech describes the LED as color changing as the charge depletes but the Ovale C battery I have and others have is missing this feature.
