Got My order trying to help my dad quit need help!

I got an ultimate ultimatium kit yesterday for my dad and he tryed it and almost puked 8-o said it was way strong I had 4 different tabbaco flavours in 24 mg i know those are no good now but not sure what to do and as i also understand from what ive been reading vaping is done differently from smoking? I read one post that said not too inhale into your lungs? he smokes a light cigarette (Players Light) I tryed calling steve earlyer but not sure what his hours are and the time difference as i am from ON Canada It is probably better for my dad to explain everything than me trying to understand. Im impressed with what was in the order sent extra carts and e-juice. one pack of carts was different than what i ordered (Parliment's instead of Cowboy's) but no biggy. If we could get this to work for him as i am a non-smoker and i have asthma and am awake at night from his smoking any help would be appreciated Thank You

This is only a semi-educated guess, so wait until the others weigh in.

I would order him 11 mg cartos & perhaps one or two of 18 mg.

When you order, explain what you're trying to do in the comments. Steve & Mark will take care of your dad, I'm sure.

I smoked Players once, in a previous lifetime, before there were "lights".

My opinion is that you should start out with a much lower NIC. You're Dad ius haing the same problem I have with the higher levels.. Try 11 and if that doesn't work go higher. You can always get some liquid in a higher level to add some strength if needed.

Howdy, palmerchuck, and welcome to you.

Might want to go with something in the 12-18mg range for starters. The Dadster should also be cautioned about how he's drawing on the VK, it's not a cigarette-- no personal vaporizer system is. Slow and steady is the key, and no need to completely fill up the mouth with vapor until one is used to the way things work with these clever little devices. Small, light, easy draws until he gets used to the mouthfeel. Cigarettes generate a little more heat than vaporizers do, and most first-timers will choke because of getting more than they thought they had puffed.

Don't despair, it will work out. It takes a little practice, but a day or two will do it, and it becomes second nature from that point. Even the current nicotine level should be okay at first, as long as easy light draws are used, and not used too often. Remember the way to Carnegie Hall.

Thanx for the advice. ill definitly try lower nic carts and will get ahold of Steve or Mark and have dad talk to them and have him read this post.

also, and new users never remember this...it isn't a cigarette. SLOW, LONG DRAGS....once you get used to this, you are set.

My mom noticed she was having a problem with the mint cartos making her cough and I had to reteach her this even though she didn't have this problem with the other lower flaovr cartos. your dad should try inhailing extreamely lightly and softly the barest he can, but try to shorten the time as it is not a cigarette, it will also take a minute or 2 for the nic to hit his system it is not instant like a cigarette. have him try shorter drags if it is making him cough and i would definately try lower nic cartos as well maybe some 0 mgs to 11 mgs so he can get a feel for it. Also some of the tobacco flavors are not quite so smooth or don't have the exact same taste he is looking for esp at the higher nic levels. So I would try for a variety of flavors not just the tobacco maybe coffee, cappicino, ry4, 555 or bud they have a nice smoothness to them. Anyhows best of luck and yeah Steve is an expert at this your dad talking to him will probabbly result in much better results as well as I swear he is psychic and knows what it happening and just how to fix it too! You're getting great advice here!
I just want to reiterate what the others are saying. I smoke ultra lights and I'm finding that the 11mg are good with the pt and 18mg on the battery. Long, slow, soft SIPS is the best way I can describe it. It took me a couple of weeks (I'm still new at this) to understand what that meant. Tell him to count to 20 inbetween inhales also, too much can cause nauseau. Also, make sure he drinks Lots of water!

Did you order this for him because he wants to quit analogs or because you want him too? If he isn't quite sure about quitting, let him take his time. Cut one or two analogs a day by switching to the e-cig.

Yeah its really important that he do this at his own pace. You have to consider that for a long time his body has been used to all this stuff he was getting in his analogs not just the nicotine and any way he goes there is sure to be some adjustment and body changes ( even nausea)

Depending on what model, could it have been the primer juice the atty was sent in? We let a few of our friends in and they sucked way too hard on it. Unless the atty is out of sorts, you really don't have to inhale that deeply.

I didn't see it mentioned(may have missed it), but direct lung hits are A LOT harsher than a mouth hit, then inhale, for me anyway. He just needs to find "his way" of using it.
