Got my package today! Happy with it, but don't think vaping is for me...anyone have any suggestions?

Welcome to the forum, Foster. I will just ditto what the others here have said. It does take a bit of getting used to, but please don't give up. Almost everyone had to go through a learning curve to find their "it" place.

I prefer the huge throat hits, and when I loan mine out to friends/family to try, it sounds like they are going to cough up their lungs. So I recommend that maybe you start with a lower nic level and also maybe try some of the smoother flavors. I can also recommend the pineapple. Also the pear -- it's one of the truest tasting of the fruity flavors that I've had. You might also like the watermelon. If you like a less sweet flavor, try the chocolate or vanilla. If you'd like something that tastes like a candy bar, try the Almond Joy (I think it's called almond-choco-coco or something like that on the website). It's delicious! For drink flavors, I can recommend the Dr. Pepper -- tastes just like the real thing.

But whatever you do, please don't give up. It's really worth the effort to replace smoking with vaping. It just takes a little trial and error to make it work.

Good luck, and happy vaping!

Hey guys!

Thanks a lot, wow this forum is fast I didn't expect so many replies so soon, I really appreciate the help.

Steve sent me two different flavors, both of them are at 24mg nic strength.

One is Mrbro and the other is Parliament

I'm Canadian, so our flavor is a lot different then the American brands, but I' ve had these American flavors and liked them, the flavor is not so bad on the carts, not great, but livable, it's just the harshness of the vapor that's the problem.

Now I am wondering is it the flavor of the juice that causes harsh vapor or is it the nic strength, I could definitely go down on the nic strength and probably should...as far as flavor maybe I should just stay away from the cigarette flavored ones and stick to the fruity/sweet flavors?

Everyone seems to really like the pineapple one, maybe I should order that.

I wish they sold a variety pack so that you could get a whole bunch of different flavors to see what you like best without spending a fortune.

Anyway, what is the smoothest flavor and strength in your opinion?

Pear and coffee are both really good. For tobacco, the Virginia is nice. I can't answer about the nic levels because I'm vaping 24mg and 36mg right now.

I just got cherry carts in today (24mg) and they are *really* good.

Ohhh don't give up Foster! Take Steves very generous offer and just take it nice and slow. Everyone is different, so you have to find out what works for you. I was an ultra light cig smoker, but 18mg is my mainstay. Others need a lower or higher nic level, so just experiment and remember you're doing it for your health too. plus I'm sure you will find vapin' is just so much fun! Cigs were never fun ;)

Ok, here us what I suggest, order 5 boxes, I will ship you a plethora of eberything, 0 nic -18mg....custom made, just for you, as well as 5 extra juice to refill, and some blanks carts to fill from the start. I cannot tell, ehst we need to do, to get you going proper. The 5 juice, at 3.5 per bottle pretty much covers the shipping, if need be, I will send more. We need to help asap.:thumb:

Let us know, our V4L family, is the GREATEST anywhere, and all we would love to do, is help you.

Steve:cool:

Jeez, don't even know what to say Steve...thanks!

I appreciate it, wow...I'm going to order them tonight, you are too generous, how the heck do you make any money?

No flies on the product though, I got MORE than I ordered and the quality of the kit was outstanding.

Thanks for the welcome moonstruck...

Good suggestions, I am baffled as to how they manage to make all of these flavors in a vapor, I definitely am going to order the pear and the pineapple, people seem to really like these two, would never have thought to smoke a pear or a pineapple but hey, gotta go with the consensus here...

Did you always like the big throat hits with the vaporizer or did you just get used to it...

I actually tried a cigarette and the vaporizer at the same time to compare the two and I could not even imagine taking a huge hit off the vaporizer, maybe you just get used to it after a while but man is it harsh!

I started with Smoking Everywhere e-cig and had the same problem. In fact I didn't go back for almost two month. When I tried again it seemd to come easier and I have now been analog free for 91 days. This after smoking two packs of Newports a day for fifty years. Don't ever get the urge to go back. Stick with it I think you'll eventually prefer it as I do.

Wow, good for you, I can't imagine saying I've been 90 days without a cigarette, I've been smoking for 15 years and the most I've ever quit for is 5 days, and even then I was out of my mind.

I've heard nothing good about this smoking anywhere company, it seems like they are hurting the cause more than helping it.

So many people on the forum say the same thing as you, they tried Smoking everywhere and hated it, but when they tried some other company they thought it was great.

What is it with them?

They are a rip off, but, at the very least, they are quite visible. Hopefully, with the internet and a tiny bit of research it leads people to the ECF...that's how I got here. Getting the word out that there is an alternative that really works for those of us that "enjoy" smoking is so critical. That's why vaping works for me when nothing else did.

Hang in there, Foster! You have gotten some great advice, suggestions and offers. I personally think it's the nic level more than the flavor...but that's just my 2 :) When my first order came I vaped a 36 watermelon on a passthrough...talk about lung busting!!! But, still, I somehow knew that this was going to do it for me...no more analogs!
Now, after nearly 30 years, I have been analog free for 60...count 'em...60 days!!!
I'm so happy, so grateful and so never going back!!!

PS The Beer/Bud is a really smooth vape...next to menthol, one of my fav's.

Good Luck...You Will find your sweet spot and be totally amazed...truly!!!

As you can see by my signature, I haven't smoked any cigarettes since Sept. 3rd. So it does work. I smoked 2 packs/day for over 38 years. If I can do this, anybody can. I failed to quit with the patches, gum, lozenges, drugs. I had also tried acupuncture, hynosis and therapy. Smoked while I did all of them, too. Vaping is the 1st thing I tried that was not only easy, but it also worked. Yippppeeeee!!!!

The SE outfit is spending tons of $ on radio commercials. Plus they're the ones you usually see at the mall kiosks. They should have spent some of that money on product quality, LOL, but I can say one good thing about them ... it's how a lot of folks see an e-cig for the first time. They they start doing some online searches and a lot of them find their way to the ECF forum.

I am motivated to help as many people as I can get off the analogs. I posted this a few weeks ago, so most of my vaping family here knows that my mom was diagnosed with end-stage lung cancer. She has smoked for over 60 years. I don't want to see anybody go through that.

The good thing is that you found not only a family here in this subforum, but a company that cares. Steve and crew do everything within their power to help you be successful. They really are amazing with the top-notch customer service, and all the freebies they give away just blows the mind. So they are not just about making money -- they really do want people to quit smoking, and for good.

Sorry for the long post -- I get carried away sometimes about the whole vaping experience. ;)

Hey sorry to hear about your mom...that must be terrible, I think about it sometimes too, my mom is also a heavy smoker, and she's getting that terrible hacking cough and the wheezing and all the symptoms of a long time smoker.

I hate to think that might be me in a few years in your shoes, having to hear dreadful news like that.

It's great to meet you and to find this forum, I can see myself hanging out here, quitting smoking is a really big deal to me right now, I need some people to talk to that can understand the struggle believe me.

All of my friends and relatives besides my mom and dad are militant non smokers, if I try to talk to them about the struggle to quit they always just act like - "what's the big deal, you want to quit, then just quit" - and I talk to my parents about the e-cig and quitting and they just laugh about it..lol

Maybe it's their generation but they act like I said I am going to try popeye candy cigarettes instead of smoking or something...they don't seem to understand the technology...can't wait to show them, hell, they might even try it for all I know...that would be nice.

Hi Foster,

My husband vapes a 36mg and he started at 18-24mg! I choke on that and I've been vaping for a couple of months. Definitely knock down the nicotine a bit. Most people vape more than they smoked (since access is so much easier) so you can increase the frequency instead of the nicotine strength.

Also, it takes a bit for the atomizer to break in and the flavor to really flow. You may be tasting some of that, as well.

Welcome and good luck!!

Wow what pv are you V4L people using. I have stayed away from the cartomisers because they cost more but my 901 is way to smooth for me. After hearing this I am thinking I want one of these.

The Vapor King from Vapor4Life. If it's throat hit and flavor you're looking for, the VK is for you.

I turned my sis, my aunt, my niece and 2 brother in laws on to it! Not to mention tons of friends. My sis was really skeptical when I was explaining it to her on the phone, but I bought it as a gift so she gave it a try. If anything she is even more fanatic then I am - and she in turn has given out mini kits to friends. It is a good feeling getting people you love off the cigs and on to something so much better... ;)
