Found one on the classifieds 1.2 the whole kit for $65 shipped lightly used as previous owner was mostly using his provari, thought it was a good deal. Well after further research I may be having some regrets. Just heard some bad things about build quality el cheapo may not last very long. I bought it because I really like all the features, display options, charge and use on my pc, and more. I don't vape above 4V usually so that's not a problem. I take good care of all my stuff not to abuse, cleaning connections and any other preventitive maintenance one can perform. So just wondering how long this device will last with proper care, I know it's too early to tell. Also wondering if anyone has taken one apart to check quality, gauge of wire used etc. Anyway looking forward to trying the evic experience. Thanks for any comments, advice or experiences with this device.

I've had an eVic for about a month now and it's doing fine. It may not be built like a Provari or a good mechanical mod, but it does a good job and delivers what I consider a good vape (it's much better than the eGo batteries and the CE4 clearomizer that I started with).
I couldn't resist it either, with all the geeky gadgetry stuff it has.

If it lasts me several months, I'll be happy. I'll probably have a Provari or a mechanical mod by then, anyway.
If you have any problems with it, be sure to sound off and let the rest of us know.

PS: Got a Vamo as a backup and it's a nice unit and a lot cheaper. Got another Vamo coming from VaporBreak (if it ever gets here) for the backup's backup.

I too caught mine off the classifieds for about the same price. Yea too early to tell how long it will last, Though I havent heard or read anything about them breaking down and I researched this thing for awhile before I finally pulled the trigger on it.

I also agree with lamarrk on a few things, build quality isnt the best but it does its job and does it well. I too could not resist the technology. If I get a few months out of it I will be happy as well, Im already plotting on a provari purchase maybe by end of spring.

But I love the Evic I currently use mine in the 18350 configuration, a big part of why I was drawn to it. The only issue I had was the USB cover. I guess when I 1st pulled it out it came out too far and would not go back in it jus hanged, I finally ripped it off yesterday and cut the part that holds the cover then just placed the cover back on and its holding fine.

I have had mine for about 3 weeks or so and I have had zero issues with mine, and it has dropped once or twice(breaking the threads on the bottom of my Vapeonly BCC) zero damage to the evic it self. Also have a little RBA overflow go on to the control head with no issues from that either. I would say it is fairly sturdy, I dont typically test the physical capacity of anything I own that is elctronic and I like to think that I am no super clumsy or harsh on any of my vape stuff

I've owned mine for 2 months now, so it's too early to tell just how long it will last. There are things I like about it, and things I don't like.

Likes:
1. Displays OHM, vv/vw, and current battery charge level.
2. Easy to navigate menu

Dislikes:
1. Screen difficult to totally impossible to read out doors.
2. 5 v max output.
3. System frozen on a few occasions, causing me to remove and re-insert battery to restore functionality.

Wow, 60 views and no one has anything to say about evic build quality, hope I didn't make a mistake, it's all good I suppose.

I've only had mine for a few days, but I do like it.

You will get a reasonable vape out of it. Of course, it depends on your juice delivery system you have attached to it. Compare it to a Provari? I don't think so, even if it does last a while.

Thanks guys, well it shipped today so we will see. Bought it more out of curiosity than anything else, all the display functions etc. I'm not going to compare it to my provari or kicked silver bullet, just want a reasonable vape out of it, that's all and I'll always know what time it is, lol.

I have a ProVari I use the eVic. Don't worry I think it will hold up just fine for you. It's a nice device.
power is power, voltage is voltage. If the same is delivered to the same atty/carto you get the same performance. The only difference would be in air flow caused by the fit when screwed on the device.
You'll really like variable wattage. The ProVari very does not offer that.

Actually I said I was not going to compare it to the provari. I've got some vivi novas, t 3's, did, carto tanks for delivery, probably start out with the vivi and see how it does.

I agree power is power, voltage is voltage to a certain degree. I have used variable wattage with the Vamo and really like being able to do that.

Simple - It is not cheaply made. It is made like a Laptop/Notepad/Cell phone.
If you can take care of any of these the eVic should be good for you. If not, you made a bad choice.

Tired of and Not getting into another Mod pizzing contest. Every mod has its Plus and minus'.

Big question is always - How long will it last. Well, the eVic is new on the market. Only time and User learning curve will tell. Both of mine are now 3 months old and work great just like Day 1.

I agree that it's not made cheaply. There is a reason that people buy protective cases for cell phones and iPads. When traveling with a computer, it goes in a protective briefcase. I can't remember the last time that I forgot the computer was in my lap and stood up anyway. And, none of those things are round and will accidentally roll off of a table when bumped. I sure don't let a leaky device filled with fluid get anywhere near my phone or computer.

Don't get me wrong, I have enjoyed my eVic for the past two months. It's just that I've had some durability issues and don't expect the device to be long lasting. Right now, it's working just fine despite a major juice spill and a fall from a coffee table that cracked the black plastic. If nothing else, I'm here to prove that they can take a bit of a beating and continue to work. I'm convinced that my eVic will die an early death. Only time will tell if it lasts long enough for me to consider it worth the price to buy another.
