OK, here's my spill on the eVic.
Would I purchase it again? No.
My batteries last all day, and I'm a heavy vaper. (2,600 mAh battery)
I use a DCT tank, or an IBTanked.
I'm not sure. Some people have had them break, and others claim no problems. It seems to be a few do have breakage problems.
I can't see the screen outside. Mine is only visible while in doors.
The eVic has a 6 volt max.
The voltage/wattage read out on the screen is not accurate.

My minimum Provari propaganda:
They have the best track record, and longer warranty. No hassles if it does need service.
They will repair outside warranty for a reasonable price. If your eVic breaks outside warranty, it's gone.
They go to 6 volt.
The readout on the screen is accurate within 1% or better.
It costs more, but will last longer.

I am thinking about purchasing and eVic and I am curious to see what the people who own them think about them. So I have a couple of questions to ask you.

1. Would you purchase it again?
2. About how long the battery last before needing a charge? ( I have to recharge my twist during the day to make it last)
3. What is the best delivery setup you use on it?
4. How's the durability of it?
5. What battery running?

Thanks ahead of time, and please keep the Provari "propaganda" to a minimum

No. If it fails in 3-6 months, I definitely wouldn't chance spending that kind of money again. For a cheaper price, and a better unit, I would go for a Vamo, if you don't want a Provari.

I think a better question for #1 would have been, "if it needs to be replaced in 3-6 months, would you buy another one?"

Are you sure you aren't clicking it 3 times in succession? If you click it over 3 times fast, it will repeatedly scroll.

Hmm...haha I guess I just missed this feature on the website....I just tried it and it is indeed consistent when you click 3 times. Other posts on here and reddit and I all assumed this was an issue with the ring sticking. Thank you for the clarification!

I think I posted earlier in this thread about how my first eVic died after 28 days. My second eVic was pronounced dead last night at age of 10 days. Same symptoms: The button just stopped working. I'd barely even used the thing.

I have over a dozen PVs. I am not hard on them. They all look like new, and work great.

Except the two dead eVics.

Seems odd that you are one of the only ones who has had theirs go .... up after such a short time. Maybe you just have the worst luck with them but I would understand why you wouldnt go this route again. Hopefully mine isn's like yours, I rather enjoy and not really sure why I would something that would be MORE powerful than this one is. I mean couldnt you just make a lower resistance coil if you wanted to be able to go higher, although you could hit the same flavor lower with a lower resistance coil. I am thinking about getting an RBA now, just something to fiddle with a little and not super expensive.

I want to figure out what this stainless mesh is all about and the ceramics also

Well, it didn't help me. I can't see the screen in sunlight, or even subdued sunlight, cupping my hand or not. I also change out batteries, (not using the same one over, and over). I also notice the rattle of the ring very much. Compare it to a Provari?

I just posted this, maybe it'll help!

I don't own a ProVari, but have used friends' several times. Their build quality is top-notch. No doubts about that! Its an awesome, good looking unit. And made in America, too! The deciding factor in the end for me was variable wattage, the pass-through charging feature, and the fact that all the important info (batt. life, volts, wats, ohms) are all displayed onscreen at once so I am hardly EVER in the menus. The cost of the ProVari plus the passthrough kit was just way too high compared to the eVic. If they add VW and built-in charging/passthrough I might very well consider one though.
I would venture to say that if Joyetech adds a "lock settings" feature to the eVic, not being able to see the display won't be much of an issue, since once I put on a new tank and get it vaping like I want it to, I don't go back and fiddle with it.

So my buddy's evic died and i was googling it. Just found out he had to reinstall the software and then upgrade firmware and it came back on.
