Eric, I have done the same thing before. The liquid leaks out the bottom of the atty if I overfill my atty. The tenergy batteries are very powerful when they are new. I also get a little leakage if I chain vape and get the atty too hot. If you are using a cart, try two drops in the atty and top off the cart. Also try doing what I would call a speed shift button press. Start drawing air and then press the button down for just a second, keep drawing and then do a second button press. I don't have another high voltage unit to compare it to but I know if I try to hold the button down for longer than a couple seconds with fresh batts, it is too long and gets the atty too hot. I hope this helps just a little. Also, I don't know if MFS makes their own liquid or not but I know with the dekang liquid it is alot thinner than drew's 24mg and HV liquids. His liquids definitely perform better at 5/6v and to me they have a superior flavor.

I had a similar experience trying a 901 on my Xhaler, weirdly enough. But my 510 attys and KR808 cartomizers are behaving fine. Short drags are good when the batteries are at full charge, 'cause the Xhaler turns into a serious juice hog.

Thicker juices do help. The Nhaler HV juice is thicker than straight PG, but I also love my 50/50 VG/PG blends in HV.

    (snipped for relevance ;))

I am new to this but I use the 801 with new batteries as it seems to give me more flavor. I use the 501 and 901s once my batteries are a little used. It seems to me (and again I know nothing) that the 501 ad 901 burn a little hotter with fresh batteries than the 801 does.
On the flip side once my batteries start getting low it seems like I cannot get much of a hit from the 801 but the 501 and 901 work great.
Might be all in my head lol but it works for me.

As for the high voltage attys I have not tried them yet but I ordered a couple

I hope you figure out the 5/6v thing as I am loving the ability to change around.

As already said, some juice just doesnt do well at 5/6v. for those I drop down to my 3.7 batts and vape as normal, but the 5v optionwith the right juices is really awesome.

I also just fired up a new 901 atty at 5v and I didnt enjoy it as much as my 510.

Still looking at getting a big mod! Not sure I understand yet what is causing the op's problem. what's causing this leakage. What would I do to prevent this? only use HV juice or certain atty's. thx all:confused:

The device has nothing to do with the leakage. That would be the cart/atty problem.

The mod just like any mod is just a battery housing with a switch/adapter.

Lots of things can cause leakage but all pertain to probs with the cart filling or low battery. Also taking to hard of drags with a low battery will make the juice bypass the atty and go into your mouth.

If he's dripping into the atty then he's adding too many drops.

Thanks so much, Eclypse.:)Also I see Drew has rcr123a (750mah) Is it possible to use
    Tenergy RCR123A 3.0V 900mAh Rechargeable Li-Ion
or I also found one that is 880 mah at 3.6V. I don,t know much about all the batt's. Could I use either of these & would there be advantages?

No idea forsure as i've never tried them but if there the same model name as in RCR123A 3v i dont see why not. Also need to mention that people always say that the manufacturers are not always honest about the mAh ratings so they could actually be the same ratings but who knows.

http://www.batteryjunction.com/6rcr123a-combo.html Batteries, Battery Chargers, Flashlights, Solar Products & more![/url] Has a 6 pack of batts and the charger for cheap so check them out as well.

The Tenergy batteries (Nhaler's 750mAH version) are all that I use with my Xhaler. 2x3V=6V, but the Xhaler can drop it down to 5V by having the bottom cap screwed on tight adding a bit of resistance so you don't get the "burnt" taste that many people complain about from other 6V mods. The great thing about the Xhaler is that you can vape basically any atomizer (some require an adapter) and have your choice of voltages based on your choice of batteries and the adjustable resistor cap.

There's no reason you couldn't use 900mAH RCR123a's. They'll give you a longer vaping cycle between charges, but I would presume the longer life means they are "unprotected" which means there's a possibility of explosion. Therefore I wouldn't really recommend them simply because safety isn't a good tradeoff...for me at least. It'll work, and I doubt you'll have any real problems, but 750mAH is good all day for me--I just need to buy a second set so I don't have to put down my Xhaler when its time to recharge.
