gotvapes- fluxomiser killed battery

ok about 3 weeks ago i bout 2 packs of fluxomisers, i filled them up how they should be , puffed on my FIRST one for maybe a day , i charge the battery then clean the contacts put the fluxo on my eGo battery, push the button down, the light turns on and stays on, then the ring around the light got burning hot. nice right?

So i sent them a message and get a one lined response saying there is no way they can know the fluxo killed it, and they have never had any reports of this. so yesterday my wife as normal takes her battery off puts in on the charger and gets her spare for vaping for the night, but when she took the fluxo off and put it on the spare, the light went on and killed the battery, same story, she then gave me the fluxo and i went and grabbed her battery that was on the charger, as soon as i put this thing on the charger, after cleaning the contacts, it did the same damn thing.

so i CANNOT be told that these fluxos DONT kill batteries and for them to not only not say something on their website prior, but to treat me like im only a $ sign is some bull. ive been vaping for over a year and a half now its not like i dont know what the im doing.

i guess ill go back to freedomsmokes, ms t's and the other places that give a damn about customers, i sent a nice little ticket in to gotvapes, but i dont expect them to say anything worth a damn

If you use a multimeter on the fluxo, you should check and see if it is shorted. If it's shorted it could have killed the battery.

Weird, I never heard of that. I've been looking around the forum and no one else got komakazi fluxos before. That is interesting. It's the Chinese attacking the US vaping.

i dunno man,i saw some that looked exactly like these fluxos at totallywicked and they said they were all half price because they were known to kill batteries, they were exactly the same, they dont even have them on their site anymore. i thought these may have been different since i heard such good reviews of them

I've never used a fluxo, but I had a 1.5 dual coil kill one of my Riva batteries. My DH had it on a box mod (with the better switch to handle DC's). It didn't kill the box mod, but when I put the DC on my Riva and hit the fire button, it 'popped' and the Riva was dead.

Come to think about it, I just realized why I quit using the DC's, and I just got my new DC Carto Tank from Madvapes... Damn.

Those are ce3's and yes there is a bad batch of them out that are known to kill batteries(actually the regulator not battery). Any atty, carto etc. that is shorted can kill the regulator.

Throw that Fluxo away. No way to really tell if it could be the culprit for sure unless it's showing shorted on a meter but after 3 batteries it would seem like a safe assumption.

It's not a wide spread issue with the Fluxos, yours is the only one I've heard of and I've been using them for a lonnnnng time without issues. The CE3s are what has had some issues and what you were referring to from the Totally Wicked sale.

I had one shorted out of the box actually . ALL of the rest were way out of spec in resistance ,2 leaked out the battery after sitting a whole night and none of them wicked any flavor and had a plastic taste . Honestly i wouldnt take them for free with all the issues i had .

thats about how i feel at the moment

First, CE2 from GV and CE3 from TW are 2 completely diff animals. When the first battery popped, why would you stick it on another battery without checking it for a short? And after blowing 2nd battery you still went for a 3rd without checking for a short! Then you blame the vendor for blowing batteries?

Some CE3's from a different vendor (HealthCabin.net) did the same thing to my brand new eGo passthrough. They were pretty straight-forward about it and are shipping me a replacement battery.

@Tom950 - I try finicky atomizers on old 510 batteries. Surprisingly enough, the CE3 that killed my eGo PT is working fine on the 510 battery.
