I'm so glad you started this thread Morganmeltz. I do have a question that has been bugging me. Since I started using Stardusts I noticed that sometimes I hear snapping and popping when I hit the battery button and other times I don't. It's not toooo big of a deal because I still get vapor and taste if it doesn't go Rice Krispies on me..but still I'm curious as to why it happens. It stops..then after a bit it starts up again. The vast majority of the time I do hear it.

It is just how much juice is in the wick and coils that cause that sound... Toss some water drops onto a hot plate or skillet, you'll get something similar... too little or too much and it won't do it...

I was going to get a vivi but they are out of stock. I guess I will wait on the rebuildable stardusts that I ordered and see how I like those. Maybe by then the vivi will be back in stock...also watched the video on the vivi mini that is supose to be coming soon. I am still trying to figure out the sleeve for the vivi on my ego. everything I read makes me think that the phoenix might be to fiddly for me...I am definately a do not want to fiddle person also.

Wally, what I am going to say is not for everyone, but it worked for me, so who knows...

Maybe the key is just to stop battling and focus on enjoying the vaping as much as possible. Just relax. Cigs are an obsession/addiction. The more you fight it, the more you think about it, the more it feeds the obsession. And, more, it stresses you out, and stress drags you back to the habit, inevitably.

What I did was just to focus on vaping, hang out on the forum, get fun toys and great tasting juices, take up as much of my time and "obsession" energy with vaping as I could - and it simply didn't leave all that much room for cigs. Vaping is more fun that cigarettes, and now that the equipment mostly works, it is also relaxing, or can be. If you make vaping more enjoyable for yourself than smoking, one day you will naturally reach for your PV rather than a cig - and on that day your battle will be done without fighting.

Meanwhile, if you want to smoke, smoke. But always keep your focus positive and on vaping. It worked really well for me, and for a lot of other people, and it's a lot less stressful and unpleasant than fighting with yourself all the time.

Rdsok,
You are kinda right. It's all in ones own perspective.
I'm not complaining. I'm just looking for the day I am satisfied with a setup (or 2, or 3) to get me off the analogs completely. That's why I just lump it together.
It's been quite a personal fight for the last 8 months. I went from two packs a day to 1/2 pack immediately. Had a point where I was only having two a day. Then for some insane reason I went back over 1/2 a pack. Now i am around 5 to 8. Maybe I just need a therapist. Once I am confidently off the analogs then I'll start my vaping fun. But for now I'll battle on.

Ha! I'm so glad I opened this thread and read it from start to finish. Thankyou thankyou thankyou to everyone that's posted their troubles, questions and solutions!

I stumbled upon the Stardusts a couple months ago, and just love them, and then maybe a month or so ago I bought a couple of the Visions and a bunch of extra heads for them, as well as two of the metal tank replacements. I had used the original vision/head exclusively for around 3 weeks, disassembling and rinsing it out periodically, and it was working like a champ until the other day, after a refill, it would not work.

So I took the atty head off and cleaned it and put it away "just in case", and put a new one on. It vaped great for the first tank, and then after I refilled it, it didn't work anymore. I was super bummed, since I'd just replaced it. So I took the vision off and popped a stardust on and was puffin away on that while reading this thread.

My "AHA!!" moment came while reading the post about how sometimes the atty twists off and loses its connection when you are unscrewing the top of the vision off---I practically tripped over my own feet running to the kitchen to grab that vision and check the connection on the atty! While I was unscrewing the lid, I noticed that sure enough, the atty was sort of stuck to the lid and turning around while i was unscrewing it. I screwed it back on all the way, put the lid back on and put it on my Provari and IT WORKS!! Yeah!!

I'm so glad I didn't assume the other atty was garbage and throw it away, lol. You guys are rockstars, thanks again!!

:) You are very welcome. Different things work for different people. I hope you find something that works well for you.

As for demons... It's like not giving them the dignity of an answer or empowering them by paying attention - then, hopefully, they get embarrassed and skulk off. :D

Stardusts are great - most folks love them.

Briar,
Who needs a therapist when you are around. Very good points and I'll definitely give it a whirl. Maybe if I ignore the demons, they'll just go away. Guess I'll go order those Stardusts now. Thanks.

Just an FYI Zooker...

Vision is the manufactorer... and not as specific carto/clearo/atty.... they make the Stardust even... So where you talking about the Vivi Nova perhaps when you said Vision?

Oops,lol--yes I meant vivi nova, don't know what I was thinkin' there!
