Alright, my question about the Vision Extreme cartos is:

Straight from the packaging, I notice the inner plug that covers the coil cap have the wick holes misaligned...is this intended?

My first one, I apparently burned the wick because it was too dry. So being the analytical guy I am, I took a closer look at what happened and noticed these holes were misaligned. It seems that they all ship that way. I grabbed a new one, and rotated that inner plug so the little notches for the wick, were directly in line with the wick itself. This allowed more juice to flow to the wick. However, with this, it appears that you cannot fill juice above or near the wick holes because when pushing the tip on, the air pressure will force juice down the airtube.

Did I do this right? What would you have done? Should I bother saving that first burned carto or toss it?

Are the capacities of these cartos labeled for total capacity or working capacity? I bought what was shown as 2.5ml, but I can barely get 1.5ml in it.

Please quote my questions in your responses to help me follow who is responding to what. Thanks in advance!!

Hello Nach.

I just went to the drawer and dug out some old visions - got a bunch in various states of togetherness.

I do remember getting one or two where the notches for the wick were misaligned. Like you, I rotated the inner plug into place. Worked well then.

Forgive me, but it's a bit early in the morning here, and I'm having trouble understanding your statement it appears that you cannot fill juice above or near the wick holes because when pushing the tip on, the air pressure will force juice down the airtube.

Now, when I look down the vision tube with the inner plug in place, I see a round air hole down the center, and one longer space each side. The longer space each side is where I would stick the needle to fill. After filling, I would just push the drip tip back in, and all would be well.

As far as the capacity, can you remember which ones you have? There are a bunch of different sizes.

Oops - didn't see Briar's post - told you it was early in the morning!

That's interesting, I never did have that problem with my visions. I liked them - great taste, fiddle free (for me, anyway.) The only reason they're sitting in the drawer is because they tend to dump in my pocket when I'm out, and stardusts don't.

Hey all, can anyone tell me why I keep getting a mouth full of juice on the stardust r?

Agree with rdsok about juice in mouth. I only lay my stardusts down sideways for a little while or if there's only a little juice left in.

I've also gotten it if I overfill, or if the silicone cap is not seated on the post properly.

Briar & Morganmeltz,

Thank you for getting back to me on this! I never really though of squeezing the tube while inserting the tip back in to relieve the air pressure as I figured it might deform the tube and allow it to leak. I will give this a try!! I do; however, want to try a new carto. Lots of folks like the Stardust and the Pheonix. I guess I'll just have to try both and see which works best for me. The VE has been rather nice and trouble free (for the most part). I'll give the burnt carto another chance to clean in vodka and see if it isn't just burnt juice on the wick, but then again... its a $5 carto LOL! That's why I bought 5 of them on my initial purchase.

I would really like to find some reviews or breakdowns of the differences between the different cartos available, but there is so much to look at/for in this wealth of information, that may grow old just trying to find it! :) I have already been envisioning (after only a week of vaping) a new design for a trouble free carto. I suppose I need to work with GotVapes and see if I can put my engineering skills to use!

Thanks again for the responses! I'll be up for more discussion about this soon!

Hey Billy!

Do you mean that your stardust gets hard to draw on and pull vapor through pretty quickly? Mine can do that with some of my juices, and it usually means I need to give it a good clean. I learned how to do this right in this thread!

Sorry, but I don't do menthol, so can't help you there, but there are review threads for GotVapes lines of juices in this forum,

We really can't discuss anyone else's juices here. I would take a look through the forum dedicated to e-juice - there's lots of information here General E-Liquid Discussion

I'm so glad you started this thread Morgan.

First..I apologize if this has been asked before. I did a couple of searches in this thread and couldn't find an answer..so I"m hoping this hasn't been asked before. If it has..I do apologize and will appreciate your help even more.

After a few cleanings my Stardust wouldn't work. The battery light was working on my ego twist..but there was no power getting to the Stardust. It just sat there not doing anything. Is this where I need to pull the battery connection lower on the Stardust? I didn't do anything odd or strange..I didn't drop it or damage it...it just stopped working. I tried tightening it to the battery, I tried playing around with the drip tip end..and nothing is happening. Any help you give me will be greatly appreciated.

Oh..and I just clean a Stardust by swishing it in water and drying it with a paper towel. I do blow through each end and I do dry burn. I don't think I killed the atomizer. It was glowing red when I stopped the dry burn.

Thank you Irish and Morgan. I'm such a visual person..just how do you use a bent paperclip to pull out the post? I could try using my nail scissors..and which part to you pull up? Is it the outer edge or the part with the hole? I hope you are really patient. I put some very sweet folks through something similar when I was asking how to drip on to an atomizer.

ahhhhhh ok! Thanks so much for explaining it to me. I got discouraged and tossed the other one..but if it happens again I will give it a try. Thank you!

Straighten the paper clip then bend up just the end maybe 1\8 in an L. Put the short piece barely into the hole in the battery connection end of the stardust and very carefully wiggle up a smidgeon on one side then the other.

i am looking forward to trying them. Have been reading and hearing good things about them. I hesitated because I do not like to fiddle and love the stardust for ease of filling (no syringe) but I kept hearing so many good things about them that I decided to try them. I also miss using my drip tips and I understand that both the phoenix and the vivi will allow you to use them. I just got the small phoenix.....is the tank good too?

I have only been using the small ones so far. Am ordering a couple 3ml today. Really waiting for the Raven though.

have not looked in to the raven ... is it like the phoenix? And by the way...I love your avatar...one of my favorite comedians.

The Phoenix Raven has not been released yet... It is a bottom coil carto/tank ... should be out soon, the factory was still tweaking it. It works similar to the Phoenix XL BC but doesn't rely on a vacuum like the BC does
