Giggle. I do one or two flavor mixes only, but I only vape fruity, creamy stuff. Got sick of tobacco pretty fast!

My taste buds are weird. I go through periods of love and hate. Sometimes I love tobacco, and then I can't stand it. Same with other flavors.

You know how people go crazy with Boba's? Well, I got some, and loved it. Loved it so much I couldn't put it down for two weeks straight and vaped nothing else for those two weeks. And then I woke up one morning and *couldn't stand it*. Not only that, I couldn't stand the flavor of anything else, either. Went back to analogs for a bit because of it. EcoPure saved my .... - it's a pretty neutral flavor.

Now it's been six months, and I tried Boba's again. And it tastes totally different to me, and I love it again. Just plain weird.

But I'm that way with food, too. One month I'm crazy about salmon, and then next I can't even look at it... Hmmm. I wonder what a salmon vape would taste like...

Lesson learned, though - I don't get invested in any one flavor anymore, and I rotate a lot. Just in case. I totally envy people who find one flavor and can stick to it as their base-line. :)

Briar, I have had some flavors totally turn on me too. Mostly it has been the dessert-sweet flavors. I am a sugar fiend and really want to love them, but I just can't vape them. I tried some to start with that I got to the point I couldn't stand them. I kept trying a few more, and the more I try the faster they turn. I mostly stick with the fruity or candy flavors. Even those aren't completely safe though- I had a jolly rancher juice turn on me too. Menthol has become a new regular too- just plain menthol, DIY with the crystals. I never even really wanted the tobacco flavors. I hated the taste of smoking, so why would I want to replicate it?

Well, I finally dry burned a stardust. Yeah, got it really clean! But....

I used a dental pick to pull the little white plastic thingy off the post, along with the little metal thingy that comes along with it. NOTE: DON'T DO THIS.

Soaked everything really well, dried, dry burned, lovely.

Putting it back together was tougher. Hard to get back the plastic piece back in, the metal piece parted from the plastic piece while soaking and I wasn't sure which way it went back in.......not so lovely. It's now tasting great, but leaking out the battery end! Never fear, I ain't quitting yet. Step 1: turn the metal thingy the other way.

NOTE: Since found out you can just lift the plastic part somewhat to dry burn. There's a video that shows you exactly how. Duh.

Oh yeah? Can you post link to the video? I've been playing with thingies since I first started dry burning these guys - I can get them in and out ok, but it *is* a pita...

Just found this nice set of instructions on cleaning a 3ml Phoenix from bad in another thread:

if your 3ml taste funny then please do this, i also apologize that your having that issue.

remove the cover, remove the inner plug
remove the metal inner tube with tweezers or cuticle cutter
no wash under hot water and fill it and blow througy it quickly, pushing the water out with force.
repeat this 5 to 7 times then shake dry
place on battery and wiggle off main tube with a good wiggle it will come off and slip on with no leaks at all, it will not leak so no need ot worry about removing the tube off the base,

now wash the coil area under hot water and washt he whole unit itself, tube as well

now pat it dry completly and dry it best you can
now give it short bursts of 3 seconds with a pause in between of 3 or 4 seconds so it cools down a tad in between dry burns
repeat this until the wick is dry and the coil begine to glow red, once it is red, repeat this 1 or 2 more times and your done.

make sure the wicks are in position in their slots and place the metal tube on then the clear tube over the whole unit, place the inner plug back and fill and vape.

i ran into one i was tasting that the primer was strong, this i what i did and it was perfect afterwords.

Vision eGo Stardust Review - YouTube

Oh, nvmedjpain beat me to it!

The cleaning part kicks in at about the 5 minute mark.

Thanks, guys... On some consideration, I decided to keep taking the "hat" out. Easier to see the coil, and I'd be afraid of that little metal thingie turning upside down, or sideways or something. I can get the hat out with jewelry pliers (dental tool with the old ones)...

I find it's easy to reinstall the seal/hat using the tip to push it in. Twist it just as the seal begins to make contact with the center tube to help position it evenly so that the seal doesn't slip down into the slots.

That's great - didn't even occur to me for some reason. I guess some of us are geniuses, and some - not so much. LOL I was using other tubular things. But this is real convenient.

Sorry folks I haven't been around to talk abot the phoenix xl versions...

I am really liking them. The fill worked perfectly as demo'd many times. I have had no leaks at all. They are a bit cooler than the top coil fluxos, but I like that sometimes. I did get a few dry hits on the first fill in the first phoenix with chain vaping, but that was all. So far I can't decide if I like the phoenix or the fluxo better. Guess I have to keep vaping till I figure it out.

I cleaned my first fluxos last night. Just as easy as the visions. I haven't cleaned a phoenix yet... that could help me decide between the two if it is difficult. :p
