Been petty busy the last couple of days, haven't had time to follow the threads. So, what's a scorpion?

Looks like it's a new bottom-coil carto. Apparently, a sort of upside-down Stardust designed for variable voltage. Not sure what it means, exactly, but we'll find out soon, I gather. :)

I cleaned my first Stardust and it was a success :) Rinsed a few times with hot water till the wicks were white let it dry overnight and dry burned till the coils glowed red. I just filled it up and it works just like new :). Next project........ How do you clean a Phoenix?

It's so easy you wont believe it.

Bummer. I wish they would just tell us without making us watch a movie. My speakers are broken on my laptop. Not to mention I read a whole lot faster.

Remove rubber seal at top of carto, while connected to your 510 device gently wiggle the tube back and forth until you can remove it.
Take out the center post. this exposes the wick and coil assembly. Clean using your preferred method ,dry off wicks, dryburn till you see the coils turn red.
When satisfied put unit together add juice ,and you should be good to go.

Thank you so much! Does the Phoenix tank work the same way for cleaning?

OK how do you get to the coils in the Stardust to see them? Pull the center stuff out? Or do you have to pull the cylinder off? Seems that would break it.

You have to take off the white silicone hat that's sitting on top of the post with the wick slots. It's got the metal pip sticking out of it into the mouthpiece.

You have to find something that will grab that pip. I use thin round jewelry tweezers - put one grasper into the pip hole (omg, that sounds really dirty... lol), grab and pull - it will come right up.

Other folks use different instruments, but basically you gotta get that hat off somehow, with whatever you have on hand. Once you do, you'll see the coil.

THANK YOU! I wish "the People That Sell These Things" (hint hint Chris and Danno) would send cleaning instructions with the clearos! Like, in the ENVELOPE.:D

One... there are multiple methods that people use to clean them with ( just like all other clearo's etc )... Two... Chris and Danno just resell them, they don't make them... If there was a suggested cleaning method, it would be up to the manufacturer to make instructions, not the reseller

I know that, but it would be nice. I am just a working mom with 4 kids. My company builds software and does consulting. Taking apart electrical devices and reassembling them is not in my skill set. Some suggestions by our VERY competent resellers Chris and Danno might make my hectic life a little easier :)

They all ready do a ton of vid's etc trying to help in many areas... but they are only two people and can't do everything which is where forums such as this one come in to play... If you take the time to read through the forum threads on the Stardust or whichever product... you will find many other VERY competent users that share the very same info that you are asking about...

I can only imagine the logistics of everything they try to do... I'm happy to see whatever they provide in info etc, but I also know it is impossible for them to do it all which is where the comunity of the forums come into play.
